La Liga 2013-2014

After the horrible Liverpool-Utd and Arsenal-Spurs games, let's get back to some real football at the Anoeta :drool: (hopefully)

Atlético: Courtois; Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Filipe Luis; Koke, Gabi, Suárez, Arda; Diego Costa, Villa
 
It should be a good game, not many goals in the PL this weekend although with an extremely high level of defending it was to be expected. Valencia v Barcelona will be good as well.
 
La Real looking a lot more shaky in defense without Carlos Martínez and Mikel González in there, although Cadamuro has been doing an admirable job replacing the former.

Koke was their major creative force last season and has grown into a very solid player, but Atléti are really crying out for a Diego-type playmaker... they don't have the funds to buy him... rumours flying around of Mata on loan, which would be an awesome coup for them.
 
Great persistence from Villa there, and a lovely little finish. Looking good again are Atleti.
 
He's gotten a taste for scoring screamers, I think he scored a similar one last season to complete his hat-trick at the Bernabeu.
 
Yeah. We're lucky to have him :D he's made some outright unreal saves in WCQ as well.
 
Looks like he's saved the 3 points for Atléti with those two saves in the dying minutes.
 
Martino has left Xavi and Alexis out of the squad with an eye on rotation (also in the knowledge they'll both start for their NTs as well this week)
 
The Danish commentators are jizzing themselves over how Messi got the ball past the 'keeper :wenger:
 
Courtois save at the end (well the 1st one) might go down as one of the saves of the season. Amazing reflexes.
 
João Pereira with an agricultural hack on Neymar there, how the hell can he complain about that :lol:
 
Valdés has kept Valencia from equalising two or three times already. In great form this season.
 
And just like that Messi 2-0! Great steal by Fàbregas(?) and cool finish.
 
Great play by the team Barca are playing - good save Valdes
 
And the hat-trick. Nice play by Neymar and decent assist, but again such a cool finish.
 
Messi, Fàbregas, Valdés and Neymar have all been outstanding. Valencia still looking dangerous.
 
Postiga with a screamer right at the death of the first half! Called it a page back that he'd score in this type of game :D
