PL clubs enter the competition tonight and tomorrow.

Lots of Everton fans want us to take this very seriously this year and try to win it aka play a full strength side. I agree to an extent but the midfield injuries mean I'd like Gomes/Schneiderlin to be rested tomorrow.

Newcastle - Leicester tomorrow should be a good game.

Fulham - Southampton is probably the pick of ties tonight.

Brighton 1-0 up, Aaron Connolly with the goal. Hes on fire for the u23s.

Colchester knock out Crystal Palace on penalties- (Palace had made 10 changes)
Norwich lose 1-0 to Crawley

Andros Townsend calls out his own club for mocking another clubs player and then mocks his own club by dumping them out to Colchester at home.

Villa with a big away win, Stoke win on pens against Leeds to give them a bit of confidence, Southampton scrape by Fulham...

Palace played a decent side tonight.

You're up against a League One team and you're playing a full strength team. Good luck against Bournemouth on Sunday!

(I'm probably being biased due to my annoyance of Marco Silva fyi).

A lot of Everton fans want us to take this competition seriously and win a trophy. Kean and Iwobi need fitness so makes sense with them, Richarlison too needs more minutes - Delph is back from injury and Holgate comes in.

The only changes I'd make would be Gibson for Keane and Baines for Digne. Potentially Tosun for Gylfi but yeah.

Not that I’m salty or anything but VAR, if you’re going to have it in one competition then have it in all of them ffs.

Ball No 30 in the next round please. The footballing gods need to cut us a break.

Ah, I'm too used to watching rashford blast them anywhere but near the goal that surprised me. Forgot that was the aim of a free kick.

Lovely free kick, keeper had no chance.

Reading away would be a nice local one for me please.

Failing that, the crappest team left away.

How the hell are Bournemouth not beating Forest Green??
