Liverpool v Manchester United

Good result in the end. We defended well, De Gea made some wonderful saves and continues to impress every game he plays. Didn't retain possession well enough and didn't create enough chances to win, but a difficult game out of the way and still unbeaten.

Wonder how much mention there is about the dive for the scouse goal?

1-1 FT

We were lucky to be honest. Tried to battle hard and hopefully nick it. Ended up scoring only when we went back to a team that was more like normal selves. Phew.

Acceptable result. Shame about the dive, would be incensed if Chica hadn't leveled us.

Draw - fair result.

Sack the manager, appoint Roy Keane and Noodles.

Danny Welbeck, for 10 seconds did better than evra did at left back for the whole 90 minutes.

I'd have taken a point after seeing the starting XI, but the Charlie Adam dive pissed me off.

The fellating of Gerrard is fecking hilarious though. His major contribution was a free kick from a dive that would have hit the wall had Giggsy not been a pillock.

We won that though... their goal has been chalked off by me - kin cheating cnuts.

Danny Welbeck, for 10 seconds did better than evra did at left back for the whole 90 minutes.

Evra was class first half, second half he seemed to go back to his poor form but he wasn't that bad.

fecking hell they dived, no way a freekick for their goal but I don't think we deserved to win. A draw is probably fair.

Giggsy's caused enough trouble off the pitch with the bollocks and now they're helping us drop points.

Big match...play the strongest team!!!

Fergie, you fecked up. Is that the side you want to play in a future champions league final? Well I fecking don't.

World class internationals sat on the bench for most of the game. Your lucky we got a draw.

Don't do these mind games at this time of season and away to Liverpool.

We were lucky, we looked sluggish. Liverpool's midfield bossed it for large parts of the game.

Not sure why certain players didn't start for us. Gutted for the goal, unlike Giggs to make a basic defensive error.

Once again Fletcher has demonstrated he is a limited player.

Having said all that, a point at Anfield is a good result.

Terrible performance from us in the second half. Let Liverpool get the initiative in the second half, and even though a goal against us was looking more and more likely, Fergie was too slow to react and try and change the game.

Forced in an equalizer (thanks Cheech!) only to give up the initiative once more, and lucky to escape with a point.

Happy with the point, but the joy of that is overshadowed by the inept performance against a mediocre team we should beat every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Edit: De Gea with a great performance, as one would expect. He's awesome, nothing more to say about it.

Without De Gea we'd lost again to those mediocre divers.. He was magnificent

Carrick should start against City to get somekind of stability in the midfield. And Ando

Also, they have the finest collection of divers in world football.

Bucktooth
Gerrard
Downing
Adam

Any others?

can someone tellme why rooney and nani did not start the game

I'm baffled by this too. We suffered a lot from having a midfield which in the main didn't have any picture in their minds about what they would do before they got the ball. Rooney ended up playing in the middle to compensate! Jones did a good shift but he looks a much better defender than midfielder and at times got dragged out of the middle chasing lost causes. Jonesy also shanked a lot of passes as did Fletcher although Fletch was quite good towards the end of the match. When that happens you need your one attacking player, Giggs, to be on the boil but he just wasn't. Worst game Giggsy has had for us for a long time. I was shocked to see Young and not Giggs get subbed.

De Gea was tested today and passed with flying colours as did Smalling. Evra was good in the main apart from near the death when he allowed Kuyt around him to get that chance. Ferdinand...he's not quite the player he was sadly. Evans did pretty well but what the hell hitting the back of the Scousers head with the clearance near the end!?

Welbs did the hard running but I thought he passed quite a lot when he should've shot. Needs to get the memo that while we love passing football we ain't Arsenal. Sometimes when there isn't a clear option you just need to whack it e.g. Messi vs Utd at Wembley. Just because you're a passing team doesn't stop you cracking it from distance.

Hernandez...what more can be said. When he came on I just knew he'd score. When you have a player like that it gives you so much confidence. You just know if you're in a jam if he gets one chance even a half chance he'll score. Love him. If he wants a new contract give it to him!

Rio says his contact was not enough to bring out a 12 stone man. He was being kind on the fat bastard.
