Liverpool vs. Manchester United

Every year without fail, this game is either torturously nerve-wracking, or just plain shit

Van der Sar, Kuszczak ; Neville, O'Shea, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Silvestre, Heinze ; Ronaldo, Park, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Richardson ; Rooney, Larsson, Saha.

Where is Evra ? Forgotten by the BBC or injured/suspended ?

I hope for this team:
VDS
Neville Ferdinand Vidic Heinze
Ronaldo Scholes Carrick Giggs
Rooney Saha

Subs: Kuszczak, O'Shea, Evra, Park, Larsson

I think Larsson will come on for Saha after an hour or so, and Evra for Heinze. I hope Heinze starts because I would rather have a fresh Evra in the 2nd half, and Gabby would be a better choice in the 1st half against Gerrard.

The team picks itself:

----------------VDS----------------

Nev-------Rio------Vidic------Evra

Ron----Scholes----Carrick---Giggs

--------Rooney------Saha----------

I think we will turn them over, a few minds will be set on the big match against Barcelona on Tuesday. So i'm predicting 3-1

Rooney
Saha
Ronaldo

think i might go down the bookies tommorow and get some odds on that.

The right team. I'm hoping for a clean sheet. Liverpool has a hard time scoring anyway. We haven't played our best team all together for about 2 weeks, so they are ready for a good one.

Starting lineup:

-----------------------VDS-----------------------
Neville------Ferdinand-----------Vidic---------Heinze
----O'Shea----Scholes----Carrick-----
------Rooney-----------------------Giggs---------
--------------------Larsson-------------------------

Hopefully Saha can play some part and replace Henrik at about 70mins after we have scored an ugly headed goal by Vidic at ~30 mins. Ronaldo to come on for the last 10 as a counter threat.

We'll play neg to keep the Kop quiet. Kill the game. It's the only wise thing to do. Gabby to keep Evra out for height against the Freak, O'Shea preferred to Ronaldo to tighten up midfield.

fletcher and solskjaer are out but i can see that only as a good sign. honestly they've been pretty bad recently. and there's no other injuries! giggs is playing his 700th game so he'll probably be at least great tomorrow. saha was crappy againts reading so larsson will start. that's great! liverpool got the barcelona game next week whick, at least, wont make them any stronger.

the game wont be extremely entertaining tomorrow and as we have the most experienced players we'll be strong as those players can solve games, like giggs did againts lille. because we have ronaldo, riise cannot attack a lot and that's very good. he's not that good of a defender neither.

devil bless us

dont get me wrong if I was in charge I'd have us going for the throat but this isnt an ordinary game, say what you want about the filth but the Kop can win a game

fecking eh, it's not on Star, but rather fecking crappy ESPN, probably in Chinese :( And no bar will be open at 7:45am

SO. feckING. PISSED.

· The Anfield giants have managed only one win in their last nine Premiership meetings with United.
· Liverpool have failed to find the net in their last four Premiership clashes with the Red Devils.
· Rio Ferdinand has bagged a goal in each of the last two meetings with Liverpool in the league.
· United have failed to score in their last two trips to Anfield
· The highest scoring game between the two sides happened in March 1908, when Liverpool won a First Division home game against United 7-4
· The only Premiership 0-0 between the sides came in this fixture last season
· United have taken a maximum 21 points from seven north west derbies this season
· Liverpool have taken only 11 points from seven local encounters this campaign
· If Premiership games lasted 80 minutes, Liverpool would be level on points with Chelsea in second place
· United have already won as many league games this season as they did in the 1998-99 treble season, 22
· United have already scored seven more goals than they did in the entire 2004-05 campaign
· If United win this game it will be the fourth time they have done the double over the Reds in a Premiership season, and the third time since 2002-03
· Last season was the first time Liverpool had failed to score against Manchester United in a Premiership season
· There have only ever been three red cards in 29 Premiership meetings between the sides
· United have gained a higher proportion of their points away from home this season than any other side, 46%

Very interesting game, I've been nervous for quite a while now. Come on United!

Not going to predict a result, I feel it's bad luck. But I'm genuinly hoping for Giggs to have a good one.

I'm hoping for a United victory tbh
