Liverpool vs Manchester United

Will be a tight game. We have to make sure we don't leave Torres 1 v 1 versus our defenders on the counter or whatever. Hargreaves needs to have a massive game and we can't give away too many freekicks; Gerrard's found his range recently, been hitting some real belters.

I'm strangely more confident in us then previous encounters. Think if we play like we have been then their defense won't be able to cope with us. Hope we don't go into a 4-3-3 shell on this which i have a slight feeling we might with A-show, Carrick and Hagreaves.

But i'd fancy Anderson, Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs and Teveth to get us goals against any side in the world.

Great that our players had a proper rest while Liverpool had to fight for a CL place. Not sure how strong they are mentally, but football wise, we should beat them.
 
I'm a little worried about how we'll cope with the pace of Torres to be fair. But a few early challenges by Vidic might keep him quiet. Interesting to see Rio v Torres tho. With a fairly much full strength team I think we'll just edge it 0-1 !! But I fancy Les Pansies to put one over on the Russians too.

Anyone know if Hargreaves is in or out of the Scum game ?

I was thinking the same thing. Think Rio should stay close to Torres while Vidic takes Kuyt or the other striker.
 
Rio will have Torres in his pocket
Anderson will outshine Gerrard
But we'll frustratingly draw...1-1.

Only if Kuyt stays in his zone, the zone given to Vidic by Ferguson. But most probably, when Kuyts goes to the halfway line, it will be out of the zone in which Vidic opperates.

Think thats likely to be the team that starts. Anderson most start with his recent form and this is the type of game that Hargreaves was bought for. Plus, the partnership with Anderson is the most used at present so it makes sense to keep them together.

I'd be tempted to start with Saha this game too. He's looking a lot better in the last few weeks and also he's a good target for out-ball. His ability to hold up the ball could be very useful. Least we have that option now.

I'm going for a tight affair (usually are) but I dont think we'll lose.

I don't understand why everybody want to see Vidic mark Torres,he'll be more prone to being exposed by Torres's pace and will have to make a rash challenge if torres ever breezes past him,Rio on the other hand can deal with players with speed.

Also will be good to see the Tevez Vs Mascherano battle
 
It's not a title decider for us. It may be for 'pool though.

hope we win though - by a good margin. would luv 1-4.

my thoughts exactly. 7? and people talk about us getting pens, when we've had about 10 not given already this year. poo are certainly on a roll, but the pen against marseille was legit, gerrard looked sad that he didn't get to dive.

They are very confident about this game. They think Torres will be too much for us and only think Ronaldo would be the only thread.

I just think we have too much attack for them and their defence doesnt seems to have what it needs to hold us.

3-1 or 2-1 for us
 
I think the day we stop having a feeling that Anderson will score will be the day he scores,there's just too much pressure on him right now from the caf and he's feeling it
