Macclesfield Town vs Manchester United

Martin is playing very well, great talent, and Rossi is excellent when he drops a bit deeper and has the ball at his feet, excellent passer, reminds me a lot of Scholes

Well, I saw about 10-14 games and saw him live at the Youth Cup in Zurich, were he was very poor, a bit lazy, selfish and not the best finisher. On the other hand he's still very young, we'll see

did you see him for the reserves in the second half of last season?

He was our best player. I have heard that his finishing used to get criticised in the academy teams, but once he got promoted to the reserves, he scored several goals, including a top class hat trick against City.

I'm not saying he is a dead cert for the first team, but at 18 years of age, I think he has all the tools he needs to make it if he puts the work in and continues to develop.

Its all about opinions though, and you are certainly entitled to yours. :)

I miss having MUTV to watch these games :(. Another reason to hate Glazer.

Used to love watching the kids play and listening to Paddy and Steve.

I remember Frazer Campbell has been talked about for a while actually, since he was about 14 I think.

Anyway I also recall a young fella called Sylvan Blake. Great player, joy to watch - he got released the other week didnt he? I remember watching the game where he broke his leg, fecking shocker, must never have recovered. He was excellent, arguably better than Rossi. And then over, gone to Plymouth after just one wrong turn and a simple snap of a bone. Horrible for the boy.

Ebanks-Blake couldn't even get back into the Reserves after he broke his leg because Campbell and Rossi were so good and playing so well together.

Campbell is quality. M U Q? I don't know yet. But he's certainly not 'poor'.

feck me... some evil magic has been cast upon poor Rossi... just can't get any luck in front of goal at the moment.

Rossi should have scored there. He needs to score badly to get his confidence back up.

I'm worried about Rossi, he's beginning to look weighed down by his problems.

Chris Eagles has an ice pack on that knee, and David Jones has gone for an x-ray on his arm. :(

another player I really like the look of is Kieron Lee at left back... reminds me of the mighty Irwin.
Now i agree, very good technique, good going forward, quick.

You have to say we have some very promising young players who hopefully can make the step up

one of those players who always seems to make space for himself in pressure situations as well. Never loses the ball from what I've seen of him.

whats the score? 1-1 - ffs this isn't good enough - VDS is too old, rio is a cnut, fletcher and oshea are wank, sell giggs, ronnie is a show pony, rooney is fat, sell ruud, saha is an injury prone ejit!

How is rossi and gibson playing?
Rossi has had some great buildup play, but is hexed in front of goal.

Gibson has looked good. Not mindblowing. Just good. Solid is a word I would use.

It's 2-1 btw

Great shot by Gibson. If Rossi just could score a goal, i'm sure it would benefit him so much, he's so desperate and has been a bit unlucky

why don't you use the posted streams?

I liked Lee Martin tonight, looks like he's almost ready to challenge PL players on a physical level whereas Eagles seems like a schoolboy sometimes...I hadn't seen much of Martin before this summer but he stood out i think, seems at ease with both feet, and always tries to get forward.

Apparently having X-rays at the hospital, might be a broken arm, but we'll have to wait to know precisely

Exactly thats where i see Rossi ending up in the future, a ready made Scholes replacement

Martin was very good
Someone needs to have a word in his ear about the "Man Utd" thing for the post-match interviews, but he's young i suppose and proably grew up watching Sky Sports:p
Some player though

He's a Wimbledon lad I think, so its understandable.

Chris Eagles isn't ***, he should be sold ASAP....... Jones was unlucky to fall the way he did, I've a feeling that it might be his elbow rather than arm. I hope it is his arm, because then he'll be back in no time, and even playing soon if the break isn't that bad (if it is a break).

I thought Gibson and Martin were excellent, Richie Jones was very quitet, but effective. When Eagles came off, I would have liked to have seen Barnes brought on, but still maybe next time.

Campbell is near enough ready for action. I think a season in Belgium will be just what he needs. Don't forget that he's already been a sub for the first team. I think that one of the reasons that Fergie felt he could let RVN go was because of Rossi and Campbell. It may not be this year, but certainly the one after.

McShane looked very good at the back, the nearest thing to Steve Bruce we've had. Likes to attack the ball at corners, I think that Rio, Wes and any other of our defenders should take a note and learn off the youngster.

Over all a good work out for the team, and it will only bode well that these kids are playing against strong exerienced players.
