great win.
the result was more important than the performance.
not vintage united. they looked tired and jaded, just couldn't find the zip and inventiveness they've had of late.
best part of afternoon - or was it evening - was ole gunnar solskjaer coming on at half time to do the draw. going off the pitch, he jogged back, as if to say - LOOK my knee is good enough to run around a bit !! hope he comes back and plays a few more games for us before retirement or returning to the norwegian league. he's one of united's greats - a completely true and honest player. just like dennis irwin, gary neville and lots more.
pompey's equaliser was a bit fortunate, but they deserved it as we just couldn't finish them off. they had a lot of possession in the 2nd half, but never really threatened.
it was wonderful to watch us really really trying to get a second goal. and when it came it had to be from the wizard - the man who keeps making thing happen for us .
ROO-NEY.
Hope this was a blip , performance wise, and we can crack on now in our persuit of chelski.
C'MON YOU REDS.
