Manchester City v Manchester United

We win this one for pride and to dent their 4th spot chances.

Rafael -- Vidic -- Evans -- Evra
Valencia -- Scholes -- Fletcher-- Nani

We will win this one

This game may become even bigger if Cheatski draw or lose against Bolton. Then the race is back on.

VDS
Rafael Rio Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Carrick Gibson Nani
Rooney

Giggs for Gibson in the 60th minute if we are trailing.

If we have Rooney, then it WILL be a game to watch. If not, with the form they are in, they are going to win.

[CLICHE]its a derby game, anything can happen in a derby, form goes out of the window[/CLICHE]

why is everyone so depressed anyway?

I mean there's no sign of long term danger (well on the playing side)

We're going to win this match, and also the league on the final day of the season when Chelsea fail to beat Wigan.

Its shitty cup final...how small-time.

Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz has described Saturday's derby clash with local rivals United as a Cup final.

City have just five games left and are in pole position to win the race for fourth place and secure the club's first-ever Champions League appearance.

Tottenham are four points behind the ambitious Blues with a game in hand, against third-placed Arsenal on Wednesday night.

United, meanwhile, will be battling to stay in the hunt for a fourth straight Premier League title at Eastlands having fallen four points behind league leaders Chelsea with four games left.

"It's a big game for everyone," Santa Cruz told Sky Sports News.

"It's big for them because they're in the title race and big for us because we're going for fourth spot.
High expectations

"We could make a big step if we win the three points. Our fans have high expectations for this game and I'm sure every Blue will be pleased if we knock them out of the race for the title. There'll be a great atmosphere."

Santa Cruz has played a watching brief from the substitutes' bench in recent weeks with City's front four of Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy and Adam Johnson in devastating form.

The Blues have scored 14 goals in their last three games and will be looking to avenge defeat by United in their epic Carling Cup semi-final clash back in January.

City then travel to Arsenal and host Tottenham and Aston Villa before visiting West Ham on the final day.

"There's five games left and a lot can happen," Santa Cruz added. "People say because of our recent form, fourth place is already secured, but that's not a fact.

Massive

"We have some very hard games coming up and we need to go game by game and this one is a final for us.

"You need to add the fact that it's a derby, which is massive, and play it as it is. We need to do everything to make sure the three points stay here.

"The team has been working really hard to play well and make it happen so we are happy that we've put ourselves in this position."

The game really starts at 12:48?

Not a minute later or earlier.

Is this your own preference or the team you think SAF will field? Do you really want Berbatov playing?

I really can't see us winning this one. City are flying at the min.

If I was Sir Alex that's the team I would play against City (although in all honesty I think we'll probably play 433). As for Berbatov, you're damn right I want him to play. As long as Berbatov has a player in fromt of him who's trying to beat the offside trap then he'll create good chances for them. Take the Blackburn game when alot on here were scapegoating Berb, he made an absolute sitter for Valencia yet that barely gets a mention.

with Nani and Obertan swapping positions, obertan bringing his dribbling and pace to play

If we just come out like we did against Bayern in the first half, we'll batter them. Their defense is really not up to much.

I'm looking forward to this one. Dropping my missus and my daughters in town then off to the game early doors.

Pretty optimistic, 0-2 to the righteous ones.

most likely Park on a free role.

Well a first for me

Nomatter how much City have improved in fits and starts over time I am never surprised that Utd mostly do them

For once I confess I'll be surprised if Utd win this.

City have the momentum the home advantage the 4th spot carrot dangling in front of them and the form and I know that can go out of the window but for once I rate them favourites for this game

Utd look a broken side without Rooney and if he plays he has got to be fully fit to have impact.

I also sense Utd feel they cannot in reality mentally overhaul Chelsea and that will be a huge factor

If Addy Bellamy Tevez are all fit I can see them scoring more than one

Can't see a Utd win, maybe a draw but City to win for me

Could be a pivotal day in Manchester

Yeah I think on form they should beat us. They're playing really well and we are struggling. Could all be over quite soon.

But who knows?

just like you were expected to beat spurs but fail.

United and early kick offs never go hand in hand,

we always concecde like sleepy spastics whenever these games come about, so an early goal for city is to be expected.

just a bit of heart and verve is all i want.

rafael fletcher and rooney must play.
