Manchester United v Crawley Town

This was never going to be a good game.
we were alright then SAF made a sub that did not improve us. Funny how a quality player can't improve the play of the team. Plus Bebe has been atrocious so we are basically 10 vs 11

This was the exeter team

Howard, Phil Neville, Brown, Pique, Spector,Eagles (Ronaldo 63), Djemba-Djemba, Jones, Miller (Scholes 63),Bellion (Smith 76), Richardson.

As I said - a young side! Jones, Bellion, Eagles, Spector, Pique and Richardson were all young

well we can't play like what we did today against this teams, terrible and out of sorts....

Not sure if serious.

Honestly calm down, it's a cup game. Our 11 have probably never played together before and Crawley are working their arse off. Yes we should beat them comfortably but if football were that simple it wouldn't be worth watching.

Yup.

We've seen loads of games like this this season, but we still get the job done (mostly).

I can't believe how so many have made their minds up on Bebe already.

How is that even possible?

He wasn't even playing professional football 10 games ago. He's 20.

What would be the point in getting rid of him?

Welcome to the matchday forum.

And they haven't shown that? At all? Ever? They clearly aren't anywhere near where they need to be, but as long as they have shown glimpses of football that can be played to our standard, then time is something we should give them before commenting so hastily on them - as some have done, like dismissing their careers here.

It would be retarded to call them failures just yet.

Glimpses I suppose but I'm not quite sure I've seen any glimpses of "something special" from either that suggests that they could be a special player for us. Like say Ronaldo, Hernandez, Nani, Anderson etc. who all also came to us as raw young players.

But as you say its retarded to write them off just yet.

This is awful to watch, if Crawley werent such shit they would have leveled a long time ago

Obviously not, but matches like this drain confidence.

Theyr'e still representing Manchester United. And we have Rooney, Hernandez, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, Gibson, O'Shea, Rafael all playing.

A win against a scrappy, very up for it lower level team? Doubt it very much. We've had worse results against teams of this calibre.

Nah - they were in the old 4th division as I recall. But we can't really compare this match to York, Burton and Exeter - because then we were fielding a really young side.

This side isn't young - it's actually made up of international players

Not exactly. Parker, Pallister, Irwin, McClair, Sharpe all started.

Foul throw. I'm among the biggest defenders of Rooney here but his performance has been a disgrace today. Total lack of interest.

It's clear what happened we gave up our midfield dominance when Anderson was subbed off, which is fine if we win as he is probably being rested for Wednesday but regardless United were in control in the first half and probably should have had a few more goals, in the second half though we have been abysmal
