Calm down ladies. They're almost a League One standard club. Arsenal only beat Huddersfield 2-1. It wasn't great, in fact it was piss poor, but we made 10 changes and we're through to the quarter-finals of the Cup. Yes, there's question marks about certain players, but looking at others the future is fairly bright. I don't think many were arsed tonight, probably not too professional but we'll play so much better against Marseille and I won't give a shit about today. The abuse of the players on here is moronic. I could have played better than half of the twats and i'm 52 this year.
Going to be a bunch of muppets crying that we didn't win 6-0, but that's just not football. The history of the FA Cup shows that. They came here, worked very hard to stop us from playing and with a team made up of players that rarely get to play together, it's not really surprising.
If we'd have played Giggs and Nani on the wings, with Berbatov and Rooney up front I'd have expected to win by 5 or 6 but we had two reserve wingers, Hernandez on his own up front and Gibson in with Carrick and Anderson who I thought were comfortable.
Our defense was rarely troubled and only in the dieing few minutes when they threw the kitchen sink at us did I feel they might get a goal.
A Cup win, while resting alot of players that needed resting and Rooney kept his fitness up with a 30 minute run out.
Job done.

Crawley looked more like scoring in the second half than we did, I thought Brown was excellent today and Sheasy did well despite getting shifted around twice, but in attack we offered nothing at all.
I think Rooney only came on so that Obertan wouldn't get the lowest mark in the papers tomorrow.

The only good thing in this game was that Bebe could at least cross properly in the first half. He crossed it into the box and not the side boards.

What did you expect though? They bring 9,000 along for their biggest ever day out while our lot watch a b-team play a conference side and loads don't even bother to turn up, match didn't even sell out. Not exactly a big game to be up for, was it? It was all about Crawley.
Also, as disappointing as that was to watch, it was exactly what I expected. Just like when Exeter came the other year, except at least we scored.
Smalling was a monster....saved our asses on many an occasion...I'm beginning to love this lad.

Still, I can well understand why Fergie played the team he did - we have some massive, massive games coming up and whilst we'll get criticism for the way we played today, we remain in the FA Cup and key players will be fit and raring to go for the Marseille match.
No point criticising any of the players today, we all know who played shit and who did themselves justice. More importantly than that, Fergie will be in no doubt about it either.
