Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

They don't deserve shit after that performance (Spurs), gutless, no passion, no invention, nothing. Hope they play like that at Wembley.

Good performance from United anyway, plenty in the tank and some nice debuts. Hope the injuries aren't serious.

Well done United.

The pitch needs some fecking serious fixing though - Terrible state.

Deserved win for Man. Utd, with Spurs playing too tamely 2nd half when we really needed to go for it.

It's a pity we never seem to be able to field our strongest line-up against you lot. And it might have been a different story had the game been played at WHL and had we not had to play ET against Burnley, with a day's less rest than your team.

A rather tired and passionless exit for Spurs on the whole.

What was with the big introduction for Adel Tarabt, he seems a decent player and only 19 but the way the commentators described him would make people feel that he is the next Messi an all.

disappointing second half, not nearly enough pace in the way we played. Allowed Spurs to calm themselves on and off the ball. When we did get around their box, we played some nice stuff but at times it was a little to intricate and broke down irritatingly. Was impressed by the performances of the 3 young lads - Fabio, Welbeck and Tosic.

Fabio was excellent at full back - very happy with his performance. Welbeck simply looked like he belonged in the side today. Linked up well, ran well and played some nice neat little passes. Tosic looked good considering how long it has been since he played. Needs to beef up a bit, but some of his passing was nice.

Biggest disappointment was seeing Fabio and Raf going off injured. Welbecks looked the worse of the two imo, Fabio seemed like an impact injury from falling on his ass - can be sore and he played 45 minutes for the reserves the other day so Fergie might have been thinking about subbing him early anyway (though Ronaldo did signal that Fabio needed to be subbed fairly quickly)

Really hope there isn't bad news on any of the 3 who went off, as all went for physio treatment. With the squad already depleted, we can't afford any more big, or little, injuries.

all 3 subs forced by injuries
hope all 3 are ok ..
fabio went to the bench so its unlikely to be too bad ..
hope ronaldo is ok

Could have been a different story if we had been able to field anything like our regular first XI

And didnt have 3 players injured during the course of the game ;)

Just got back from the match - Feel so bad for Fabio, just got back from injury, gets his first team call up, and then gets injured.

Overall, we didn't play as well as well as we probably should be, Carrick took too long to get rid of the ball when he got the ball. Scholesy played allright after he scored - Did he get given the goal by the way? Ronaldo did nothing, Fabio showed brilliance, Tosic didn't do much, but didn't have enough time. Berba looks like he's finally settled in, and Tevez was, well Tevez. Another brilliant game for Vida, Neville did allright, Eckersley didn't do much wrong, and O'Shea was, O'shea.

Spurs weren't up for it - or so it seemed - Plus, there fans only sang when they were winning - and about 20 mins after our second.

What did you make of our support? It sounded brilliant at times on the box...

job done, next round. shame we got injuries again but nothing serious i hope. plus points - fabio finally playing  and another berba goal. thats his 4th in 5 and 3 winners. finally may start to win people over, thats 10 goals now aint it? if he hits another 10, we can call it a successful debut season and hes got some crucial assists also.

He leads the PL in assists

Just back this morning after the match and I'm absolutely bollocked but by God was it worth it. Absolutely brilliant, I just love the whole experience. When Spurs went 1-0 up, the crowd really started getting behind the lads and the chanting of 'United, United' was deafening at times. Of course I was screaming, shouting, roaring and singing my heart out all match. At one point, I stood up and shouted for everybody else to get the feck up and be heard :D

I absolutely loved it when Berba scored, given the fact he's ex Spurs and was getting booed by them. We went crazy and were giving it right to the Spurs fans, deafening chants of 'Who are ya?' were directed at them, it was fantastic. I thought the atmosphere was brilliant at times, especially in the first half after Spurs went 1-0 up, the crowd really needed to get behind the lads and they did but it kind of died out the second half but overall I was impressed I have to say.

Thought about you while the game was on. Thought we might have got a wave though.
Savour the experience.

No, no wave although I'm surprised you didn't get my falling over the chairs on the TV

Made a complete and utter spastic of myself my first time at OT. I was coming back to my chair at half time, we were in the south stand, 2 rows from the pitch and I said 'excuse me' to the two guys sitting beside us, asking so I could get past to my seat. They must not have heard me so I thought I'd take matters into my own hands and climb over their seat behind them. I put my foot on their seat, my foot slipped and I fell and stood on somebody's coffee cups, knocking them flying. I've possibly never been as mortified in my life as I was then :o
