Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

I think what he needs more is all the idiots jumping on his back given half a chance. He wasnt bad today, worked hard, was always available and was part of the team that gets 3 points today.
Yup. Some shite finishing and a slippery pitch apart, he did well, we did very well. The constant whinging is embarrassing.

Berbatov was great today i thought. Even in the first half he did decently.

Second half he was great. The run for the penalty and he won a lot of headers.

Honestly WHAT is the point of giggs playing?

I would say take Giggs off .

Get Giggs off for a player who can shoot.

I tell you what makes me laugh though: Giggs bashers.

If there's one player in our squad who can make critics look like a set of cocks, it's Giggsy. The bloke can pass to the opposition 49 times out of 49, but you always know that the 50th could be a match winner.

RedCafe HT analysis

Great game today. I thought it showed so many points about the season and different players.

Nani shows he has had an amazing season since his return from injury.
Rafael shows his ability and his immaturity.
Scholes show he has had a great season.

Bale shows he cant defend that well, but still shows his running power.
Modric shows some class.
Gudjohnsen shows he should be a starter/Defoe is not that great.

Great game. Really could have gone either way at 1-1, even though we dominated the match. We stuck at it and SAF's substitutions paid off.

Giggs 2 great penalties (think those were his 19th and 20th goals against spurs, more against them than any other team), they had to be perfect as Gomez guessed the right way both times and on another day would probably have saved both. Scholes' passing was sublime again, Nani, what a finish for the second goal, Vidic and Evans solid, Valencia and Rafael kept Bale quiet for the most part, Berba running and running for a full game and unlucky with a couple of chances. All round the lads did what we know they are capable of. Well played lads.

Must have missed that.

Did I just hear Ferguson say something about AIDS in his post match interview?

Those were two very good attempts by Gomes to save the penalties, weren't they?

Macheda heavily involved in both 2- and 3-1. Great play for the first, good run and I think he shouted some strict commands to Nani about where to run when he the second pen. Exciting prospect.

Lovely to see the oldies winning the game for us again. Scholes is my MOTM and Giggsy's cool head won it. But Nani's finish was probably the moment of the match.

SAF: "Berbatov was marvellous." And blamed the price tag for the stick he gets. And Rooney's season may be over.

He's been reading here too much.

"What's wrong with Evra and Nani?"

"Oh they've got AIDS"

I just walked into the room when they were interviewing him and I could've sworn he said "...I don't know if it's AIDS or..." when talking about Evra.

I think's it's me who has been reading here too much.

No complaints about the outcome from me. A deserved Man. Utd win.

Spurs can't expect to give away two clumsy penalties and then get a result.

Fair play Glaston. Got us on the ropes after the King goal. Harrys building Spurrs into a very strong team, a few more signings in the Summer and you could become contenders next year.

Sky Sports are saying on their web site that Giggs had never scored from the spot in his career. I assume they mean other than penalty shoot outs. Is that true?

This was his first penalty goal in the PREMIER LEAGUE.

Was that another Carrick feck up?

afraid so

Carrick, for a big lad, you are soft as shite.

feck sake, open your eyes. He was clearly fouled. Any excuse to have a pop. It's hard to jump if someone fecking plants you into the ground.

Are we over-rating Rafael as a defender?!

No. He's inexperienced and makes silly mistakes, as many defenders of his age do. He was excellent, that gaff aside.

Rafael you are a clown

No, Sonny, you are the clown.

Nani has been shit in the second half...

Overall - I predicted we'd come good in the second half. I also said that Giggs bashers would end up looking silly.

The match day is as embarrassing as ever. Well done cnuts.

Phewww what a relief....... 3 hard earned points.... We are top of the league with 2 points a head of chelsea but with a game more... Stoke... Please get a draw at least.... Please... I would tell Fergie to let Berbatov off to Stoke together with loaning Obertan, Fabio, Carrick... Deal???? :)
Nani and Scholes played a fantastic game... Vidic also and so was Evra....

Great composure from Giggs on the penalties and Nani's finish was top drawer. I was also pleased with Macheda's performance in the ten minute she got, overall a decent display and a deserved 3 points.

0 - 0 at HT ... I'll settle for that thus far.

You've mostly controlled possession and looked more threatening, but then again you are playing at home and Spurs have defended pretty well for the most part.

Palacios looks rusty and off the pace for us. But I guess Harry could always switch things around by taking him off, bringing Kaboul on into RB, switching Ekotto to LB, moving Bale up to LW and Modric into the centre.

Hopefully Spurs can still be at least level with 25 mins to go, then unleash Lennon.

Strange after Glastonspurs half time summing up he didnt appear to give us his full time opinons

If Berbatov had a killer instinct he would be unstoppable, unfortuantly for us he doesn't seem to have it. Fairly obvious he needs a partner up top, and its not Giggs.

Give it 10 minutes and if no goal.. one of Giggs and Berba have to go for me.

I would say take Giggs off and put Macheda up front so Berbatov can break down their back four, but we know Giggs will sometimes up his performance in the second half. I prefer him in a super-sub role these days. His pace and skill is much better utilized in the final 30 minutes.

Get Giggs off for a player who can shoot.

Giggs wasteful, Berbatov way off target. Going to need a big improvement from both in the second half.

The only thing that giggs has done well in the last 4 months must be that assist to Rooney for the injury time winner in the semi final.

:lol::lol::lol:

Giggs was awful, fecking awful. I hate seeing him like this, but to be honest, I blame Ferguson for continually starting him, how can he not see how poor Giggs is beggars belief.

Berbatov did very well, I don't expect much from him up front alone, and he didn't get any help from Giggs. Macheda should've started, but oh well, he made a good impact when he came on.

Yeh that's a good point (about being away). But if that means Modric being pushed out to the left where does that leave Bale? Given the current form of Bale and Modric i'd say they both need to play but seeing as you need someone like Palacios in there i wouldnt be surprised to see Harry tinker with his system and play 1 up front as a way to get all 3 (Palacios, Bale + Modric) playing. Which would play into hour hands imo.

Our midfield really hasnt been up top much this season so if Harry doesnt bottle it and sticks with the same midfield (apart from maybe Bentley) that played against Chelsea i think that is Spurs' best chance.

Spurs must be buzzing with confidence at the minute and imo, the best think Harry could do is mess with a team that is playing out of it's skin at the minute.

I'd say i got that pretty much bang on :D I knew Harry couldnt resist to tinker.
