Manchester United vs. Aston Villa

Yes i did and he couldnt hit a red shirt to save his life...gave the ball away time and time again and shot into row z whenever he tried....most threatening player??? seriously??...Evra was easily our only decent threat all match...

Carrick's passing 71 complete / 82 total. 87%
Anderson: 32 complete / 42 total. 81%
Rooney: 33 complete / 54 total. 61%

You weirdo.

So utterly dissapointed of them today, was about to go out and celebrate my birthday tonight but left them all to go home.

Why was Giggs brought off at HT? Why can't Rooney finish off from 2 yards on a 98k a week salary. feck me, so so disappointed, especially as the rentboys dropped points.

Guardian chalkboard stats on our passing make fairly damning reading for our five midfielders.

Carrick
71 out of 82 (87%)
Giggs
16 out of 22 (73%)
Anderson
32 out of 42 (76%)
Park
25 out of 30 (83%)
Valencia
33 out of 48 (69%)

Further proof, if proof were needed, that Carrick was trying to run midfield on his own. It's the discrepancy in the number of passes, as much as the accuracy, which emphasises how much more influential he was than our other CMs.

Gibson was heavily involved in his 20 minute cameo, mind you (against an opposition that were tiring, to be fair).

Nice. Those Carrick stats are Scholeseque.

Actually, Scholes is usually in the 90s, often 95%+.

I reckon he could have made a difference against Villa. Just a shame he was probably jaded after playing the full game against Wolfisburg.

Yeah you're right, Scholes is deemed to have had an under-par game when he dips under 90%

As you say though, it looks as though it was Carrick who was taking command of the situation though. He was taking a lot of unwarranted stick in the boozer I was watching it in. I'm sure that ESPN also said in commentary that he has struggled to get into the game or something to that effect.

You bunch of defeatist miserable cnuts......no wonder I stay away from match day threads usually.

This ^

These threads are pathetic and pointless if I'm being honest. Thank God I've got a life and can stay away from the computer on matchday.
