Manchester United vs Blackburn Rovers

I've been bashing Tevez's form recently,

but tonight I have belief in that lad again. Glad to see him back to form

4 goals for carlitos

saf better stick him in the first eleven now

Great performance by Tevez, Rafael and Anderson and rest is average.

I'm guessing you forgot Giggs and Gibson were playing? They were great, much better than average.

Thought Evans was good today as well, his passing from the back really helps with building up nice quick attacks.

Agreed.

It's not their fault they're not a shiny new South American signing.

It's shameful at times to be honest.

More people excited about seeing Manucho and Welbeck play than seeing Scholes come back from his injury, people saying Neville should retire etc.

Really makes 90% of people in this thread sound like spastics.

Remember Evans led the line tonight against Santa Cruz, Derbyshire, McCarthy.. With Vida beside him they would had killed the game before 50mins..

Standard match-day thread, so.

What confuses me is where do these eejits hide the rest of the time?

People like you really piss me off? short memories hey?.....he's a rightback playing at cb and his age doesn't help either. Show some loyalty ffs, least you can do after all his service!

I am just stating the obvious, he got skinned against arsenal as a RB, and today as CB....Neville is a gr8 player, but he not playing to the standard desired in this league. old age is catching up. I can't see him playng in front of brown or rafael in the RB position either. If I say he should retire whats wrong with it....he can be a mentor to our player

Yeah, Giggs and Gibson (+Neville) have been poor game. But all in all, we managed to win and score five goals against a premiership team with our second XI.

Interesting match report from The Guardian. It was apparently submitted at 4-3 or maybe even 4-2.

Carlos Tevez was magnificent, scoring twice and taking much of the credit for forcing Aaron Mokoena into an own goal. Nani completed United's scoring and Blackburn's goals, via Benni McCarthy and Matt Derbyshire, had little impact, coming with the score at 2-0 and then 4-1.

Aye, I've actually noticed 7 or 8 specific people that I've never seen outside of the matchday thread.

Odd. Odd that people actually enjoy saying 'FFS Giggs' instead of just watching the match.

Some of Gibson's passing and movement, along with his great defensive work, was brilliant at times and it was one of his best performances for the first team.

Giggs was great I thought, constantly probing and very dangerous, created a number of chances and he's done that all season with his passing. His vision is up there with the best players at our club.
