You have to realise it's all relative,against derby the better midfield pairing would have been Carrick-Anderson.

Suprised Anderson kept place, thought he might start with Carrick and give Anderson some ECL away experience.

Good line up though - hope Tevez and Roon give Derby a good spitroasting!!!

Is Michael Jackson injured? Or did he just no0t make the team? Was expecting giggs to get a rst today, or perhaps Giggs isn't travelling for the Roma game?
 
Play our best XI in the League and play the fringe player against Roma as we are already qualified. That's exactly how I wanted it

And how do you know that for sure?

How often have the two played with one another?

Hargreaves/Anderson is tried and tested for the past 2 months - THAT at this moment in time is our best midfield two and THAT is the two we should play

There is absolutely no reason to play a weakened line up. With top position in our CL group already achieved SAF can afford to play the back up boys against Roma.

After taking Bolton for granted a couple of weeks back we cannot afford to drop points against Derby. That is why the announced line up for todays match is spot on.

Why doesn't the "free match commentary" on their site work anymore? it worked fine for last weeks Champs League match, but now I have to pay for it?
 
If we go for the jugular this could be a goal feast today.

Rooney will be desperate to get back amongst the goals after a month out.

Tevez will be desperate to score today to convince the boss to sign him up permananetly sooner rather than later.

And with Ronaldo in such goal scoring form can Derby possibly contain him?

Throw Hargreaves and Anderson (2 players desperate to impress) into the mix and we could have a lethal cocktail of goals and flair today.
 
Anybody else just have Setanta crap out on them? Mine froze at the 90:13 mark of Villa/Pompey.
 
Hargreaves did very well against Fulham and started to look like a good midfielder. It would be important that he'd stay injury free, get used to the United style and keeps improving. Wasnt aware that he's so injury prone
 
Oh FFS..... us and bloody injuries this season. Really do hope this doesnt become a recurring thing with OH, weve already got one Saha thank you very much.

Dear me Hargreaves, to be honest, I really don't understand why he was playing against Derby in the first place.
