Manchester United vs. Reading

Job done Reading worked hard but really deserved nothing from the game. Should have been a lot more comfortable.

Not exactly scintillating, but watching Nani and Vidic was very encouraging. And De Gea with his customary stellar work.

Nervy game, the scoreline is close but in truth there should've been a few goals for us. Federici had a great game and fair play to Reading, they made it tough for us. We need to be more ruthless though, we were quite wasteful overall. And it looked like we had gone back to some great defending, which was the case for most of the game (at least central defending), but we switched off for their goal.

Lots of crazy shit happening. Typical cup game.

United keep marching on.

Matchday thread is brilliant, you get the same posters repeating the same thing over and over again depending on whether their favorite player does something good/least favorite player fecks up.

Stop your drama man, what Danny did in that instance would have made Heskey proud

No drama, just comments like "typical Welbeck" when he is the reason we got a goal at the Bernabeu less than a week ago confuse a rational mind.

And the Heskey comparisons are beyond stupid. Danny's got skills, for a tall lanky lad, his touch is great as is his link-up play. Short on confidence, it happens to all players, at times Rooney is dreadful - doesn't mean he ain't a world-class player though.

A good performance bar the sloppy defending on the goal causing unnecessary tension for the last ten minutes.

Chicharito and Vidic had good games and Nani and RVP took us up a couple of gears when they came on.
