Manchester United vs. West Bromwich Albion

Our rivals must be smacking their lips in delight. Even the likes of Liverpool must now fancy their chances of finishing above us and having a shot at the champions league places. I don't know what Moyes and the board are going to do but if I were him I'd immediately give SAF a ring.

I suggets you take a time out.

a pal said a couple of weeks ago that Moyes will be out by Christmas and Fergie coming back as an emergency job.
I laughed then.
Aint laughing no longer.

Who gives a feck if City won ore or lost, and how people manage to use laughing smilies right now is beyond me.

I try to take these things not too seriously, I'm sorry.

I care that City lost as I want us to do well in the league and I'm glad if our direct opponents don't do well. I'd be just as glad if we'd won and they'd lost. Of course I'm more concerned about our performance than theirs, but there's no point going into full meltdown mode. It was a dreadful performance, but the league is still long.

Hopefully this means the owners will loosen up the purse strings a bit.
But the price every midfielder we go for now will be jacked up.

If we carry on like this January might be too late for Top 4. Will serve the Glazers right if they are being cheapskate with Moyes.

Hey that's fine I understand I'm just so disappointed right now.

Really? On the contrary, I think we need to ship some players out.

I agree. Buttner isn't good enough, Ferdinand needs to be phased out and Smalling brought in and as much as I like Anderson, I think it might be a case of he's been given enough time now. If we need to free up the wage bill, Moyes is going to have to be ruthless in the next summer. This was never going to be simple or easy for Moyes anyway.

Anderson was one of the better players from what I'm reading outside the caf, is this a case of the caf having made a decision on a player so now he can do no wrong. Or was he that bad?

He looked ok to me. Things never seem to work out for him - almost scored a couple of times, but, as usual, the ball came back off the post.

We are in September less than 10 games in, there will be growing pains, we have to be patient here. Losing to West Brom is not on even at Everton that would be a bad result at home but we have to support the team. The fans booing made me feel sick, are we that spoilt?
You pay 40 odd quid and watch a collection of millionaires, not giving a feck.
At least they can go for a spot of retail therapy, a car, a race horse whatever.

I supported United through most of the dark days, and at times our players just weren't good enough, but they usually busted a gut trying.

Fair enough, what do you think the problem is?

Not really, but it would be good to finish mid-table like in the good ol' days so that half of the sponge heads in this thread finally feck off and support some other club they have no real affiliation to.

Bit of a belated response, but I'd prefer not any return to the wilderness years, if it's all the same to you.

Moyes may be guilty of underestimating WBA.

He also needs to finalize the positions of Smalling & Jones. Constant shuffling will defintiely affect their performance. Players should be rotated primarily within their positions. Rafael > Fabio, Rio > Evans, Vidic > Smalling, Evra > Buttner. Jones to rotate with Carrick/Fellaini etc. His roation looks more like shuffling than anything organized.

Really?

A wins a win at the end of the day (hopefully) . Liverpool struggling against 10 man Newcastle indeed.
