Manchester United vs. West Ham United

It's trivial in any case. 3 points, and 3 goals. I expected as much though given how well we were playing there were definitely more on the cards.

Berba, Nani, Scholes and Giggs have been terrific. Vida has been a rock! Rooney's still not as sharp as we know he can be, but i'm loving his work rate today. Been all over the place when he's not had the ball.

Good 3-0 win.

It's easy to predict our matches really at home. It's always the same.

Great win and great Berba performance but really frustrating we don't go for more goals after 3

On a better day Nani could have had a hattrick. Good signs :)

Berbatov looked very good today as well and the usual Scholes/Giggs performance.

3-0 win, alot of positives.

I'm tempted to say that was sooo last year. Oh wait. It was.

How long till that cheque finally clears?

Nothing against Owen, but he really shouldn't get game time ahead of Hernandez who offers more comming off the bench against a tired team that's down 3-0.

Don't have a problem with Owen starting some bullshit Carling Cup games with Kiko, but i'd have liked to see our future stars get game time instead of a striker that will most likely not be around in a couple years time.

i wasn't trying to be an ass. it's just that you said never and that immediately came to mind. i agree about the hernandez part.

for me seeing Rooney track back so hard when were short at the back and putting off the player defined the man.

He will get sharp and get goals...no worries.

Ok it was West Ham, but we fought for every ball.

annoyed we just stop playing for going 3 up

I dont think we did, there were a lot of clever flicks and good passing just the finishing let us down. Also by taking off Scholes and Berbatov i think we lost 2 of our 3 main threats today

Played very well for large parts of the game but, really wish we had put them to the sword.

Still, 3 points is what matters.

feck THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK.

The subs effectively killed the game. Rooney for all his hard work still doesn't look as sharp as we know he can be. Owen is hardly going to create enough for him, and Carrick just looks ordinary when he replaces Scholes.

On the one hand i'm glad we were able to rest top players like Scholes, but it does make me wonder what we'd be like without the ginger prince dictating our play.

Good display from united. Solid at the back, some lovely play from the likes of Nani, Berba, Scholes, giggs and Vida. All signs point to the positive if the fringe players can step up and join the party over the next few weeks.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Rooney worked really hard but he's still looking far far from his best. But he'll be fine after the break I think. His crossing and one touch passing was still brilliant, just needs to get sharper though.

Wish Hernandez had come on though. Owen's becoming more and more a pointless player for us really.

Berbatov has had a brilliant start to the season, Rooney's a definite starter anyway and with the arrival of Hernandez hard to see where Owen figures now really.

:D

Not hard to predict our games actually. Every match against bottom 10 teams at OT in recent memory seems to have finished 3-0.

I think 3-0 was our most recurring scoreline last year. Except for Wigan we must have beaten every team in the bottom 12 or so 3-0.

Even this season, 2 games two 3-0's. Would take the same in our next home game ;)

Everton away now. Will be a really hard one. Hope the break does not cause us to slip up :nervous:

Nani on ESPN: "I'm working hard every day and I look forward to scoring more goals and helping the team to win more games. I want to push on this season, that's why I'm working so hard. I want to help this team win the league as a key player. As a team, we are growing in confidence every game."

We played some great football today once we got going, the movement of Nani and Giggs totally bamboozled the West Ham defence and Berbatov was having a field day as the fulcrum for the the front 3. Conversely West Ham were fairly lifeless.

Aaah, finally made it back to London. My first United game at Old Trafford, what a fantastic feeling.

There was some message on the inner t-shirt.

What on earth is that supposed to say? The guy next to me went nuts when he took his shirt off, saying he'd be sent off or suspended when the bookings mounted up. Then we remembered it was Berbatov and it was unlikely he'd be getting many more.

Anyway - this guy earns how much per week and he can't afford a decent black marker?!
