Barclays Premier League
Saturday 20th November 2010
Old Trafford
KO: 1500 GMT

As much as it pains me to say it, and I know we haven't done that bad without him (well results wise) but the performances have left a lot to be desired, but we need Rooney aka cnut features back for this match.

Play him please, that is all.

Hopefully we'll have as many players possible back for this one:

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Nani
Fletcher
Scholes
Obertan

Rooney
Berbatov

SUBS: Kuszczak, O'Shea, Smalling, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs, Hernandez.

With a bit of luck, a certain Rooney's return can be the spark to reignite our season (which, on the face of things, isn't acutally so bad, but can also be so much better).

Need some changes to shake things up.

------------VDS

Rafa --- Vidic---Rio---Evra

Nani---Scholes--Fletcher-Obertan

------Rooney----Giggs

I don't think rooney will be the key. He hasn't played for over month, and if he starts he would be rusty.
I hope Berbatov, gets a good rest and shake off that stupid virus, and starts playing like the way he did at the start of the season.

Can berba be dropped for this, sorry I am sick of his can't be arse attitude for us.

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Smalling
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Obertan
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
LM: Nani

CF: Hernandez
CF: Berbatov

Subs: PIG, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Scholes, Park, Giggs, Rooney

Berba usually scores against Wigan so I'd keep him in the team solely for that reason. Hopefully Giggs will be available for the bench at least. Rest Rio for the Valencia game as he'll no doubt play for England in midweek.

I'll go with 3-0 Berbatov, Nani & Rooney with the goals

--------VDS---------
Rafael--Rio--Vidic--Evra
Nani--Scholes--Fletcher--Giggs
----Rooney----Obertan

Should be 5 - 0

Will be 2 - 1

Drop Berbatov, play Kiko who deserves another chance.

Old Trafford awaits to see the return of Wayne Rooney, reckon he'll start.

--------VDS---------
Rafael--Rio--Vidic--Fabio
Ober--Scholes--Fletcher--Giggs
----Rooney----Macheda

We should not start Rooney - that is risking him again. Berba and Hernandez should be good enough - it's at home.

why the heck not, the cnut is on 150k a week and has got enough holiday, I am not sure if his ankle injury is really that serious or a smokescreen.

Hopefully we'll be in a much healthier state squad wise this time next week, the international week is a bit of an irritation although i dont think we have to many to worry about this time round do we?

With a bit of luck Rooney/Giggs/Scholes/Anderson/Rafael will all be back next week.

We're all assuming Rooneys going to be declared 'fit' for this....

Be shocked if he does not play this. Phelan did say he's fit again.

And he always does well against Wigan. Poor wigan just might face a massive Rooney backlash.

Dont agree with the ones dropping Berbatov. His confidence is pretty low at the minute and he badly needs a goal, so no better chance than home to Wigan to get out of his slump.

Rooney will surely be back for this one, and will need the minutes to get fully up to speed. Park will surely be left out also, would be pointless playing him in this one.

I'd go with:

-------------VDS-----------------

Rafael----Rio------Vidic-------Evra

Nani---Scholes---Fletcher---Obertan

---------Rooney---Berbatov--------

Subs
PIG
Smalling
Fabio
Carrick
Anderson
Giggs
Hernandez

I agree with Cutch, Berbatov is surely more likely to score than ever with Scholes, Rooney, Giggs and Obertan in the team than out. He should definitely be given this game to try and sort himself out a bit. I think Hernandez is in more need of rest than he is.

I would like to see Rooney and Chicharito upfront. I want to see how the Rooney and Chica work together upfront again.

Actually hoping Rooney gets a match for England. If the media and world watch him play once before he plays for United there'll be little less media madness when he does play for us again.

And plus I want to see if he's yet got the first touch of a rapist or if he's improved now

I read Fergie has blocked Capello from picking up Rooney for the friendly because he is not a 100% fit as yet and did not want to risk getting Rooney injured again. So he won't play for sure.

I got tickets for this one :) Cant wait really. Hoping for a less nerve-wrecking and comfortable 1-0 win for once.

Erva---------Vidic--------Rio--------Rafael

2-0

Wigan are such a Jekyll and Hyde team. We do have a very good record against them, and it's about time we had a big win this season and laid down a marker of sorts.

van der Sar

Rafael
Vidic
Ferdinand
Evra

Scholes
Carrick
Fletcher

Berbatov
Rooney
Nani

Prediction: 4-1

Ye I thought that. Perhaps swap Fletcher with Giggs and put Nani on the right. Would like to see Carrick keep his place.
