Some of the inter-play between our front four is mouth-watering. Nani is playing very, very well.

Rooney has a great strike on goal which is saved by Boruc.

ROONEY, comes close with a great strike.

Some great one two touch passing by us leads to a Nani curler going wide.

Nani cuts inside and curls the ball wide of the goal

Who has replaced Ronaldo with this hard working machine?

Celtic break but their long crosses are completely pointless in open play unless it's inch perfect.

Rooney tries to cross and it hits McManus on the elbow, the crowd appeals but nothing given.

Fletcher has been outshone by Anderson in the middle.

You can't give a penalty for stuff like that.

43 minutes gone, Celtic have a free-kick from the left channel

John O'Shea tries to score an own goal from it but VDS saves.

What the hell you playing at O'Shea. Maybe he still supports Celtic now!

John O'Shea's potential own-gaol was reminiscent of his goal against Copenhagen where it hit his standing leg.

Arggh Fletcher just blazes over.

We could have really destroy Celtic there.

Rooney hangs a cross up which finds it's way to Fletcher, he brings it back onto his right foot and blasts it over with the goal at his mercy.

Half Time

Agreed. Berbatov scored an offside goal but overall the scoreline is fair as it stands and reflects the half, albeit we should be leading 2-0.

Nani and Anderson have outshone Ronaldo for me. The latter has hard worked but he still looks a bit ring-rusty.

The other score in our group is

Villareal 2-2 AaB Aalborg

Aalborg performing better than they did in Copehagen. If results stay the same we would go two points clear.

Also other slightly United related news. Silvestre scored on his Arsenal debut, but he scored for Fenerbache. DOH! Bad luck Kidney head.

United have been excellent. The main improvement from previous games is their passing, which has been exquisite. The four of Rooney, Nani, Ronaldo and Berbatov are causing all sorts of problems, and the fact they are so interchangeable is making it even harder for Celtic to track them. Darren Fletcher needs to get in the game more and Anderson has worked hard, getting forward well and also tracking back to places like right-back. Evans has dealt with any potential trouble well, and John O'Shea is putting in a decent shift at left-back.

The signs are good for the second half, the Fletcher miss before half-time would've deflated Celtic completely, but as it goes they are still in this so we need to find the killer goal in the second half.

Fletcher is definitely playing the more withdrawn role in the Fletcher-Anderson partnership if ITV stats are anything to go by.

10 and a half hours without scoring away from home. Can Celtic break that tonight?

Watching us today see's how much important Evra is. O'shea hasn't had a lot to do defensively but yet still hasn't offered any offensively down the flank yet. I'd bet paddy would of made 2-3 runs in the box by now.

Your not supposed to post in this thread mate.

Berbatov defends a corner well with a good clearing header.

Corner to Celtic early on in the 2nd half. All their big men going forward. Cleared by Berbatov

Berbatov nearly finds Rooney, corner to us. Berbatov superb touches as usual. Corner wasted.

Anderson is fouled by Brown, freekick to United.
