Has anyone on here used the Gamepass app on the PS4 to watch? Just wondering how the quality / reliability is.

Last I checked you couldn’t access gamepass on PS4... but if you can that’d be amazing news to me!

I use it on iPad and so can speak for that. The app is a bit buggy now and again (but huge improvements from when the new app first launched last year), but the picture quality is great - never had an issue on that front.

Edit: just googled. Seemed it is on ps4 now which is great! Like I said if anything like iPad quality will be great. I’ll probs give it a try on PS4 tonight actually.

That is indeed excellent news. I think I've now had a dozen free trials of game pass

Absolutely worth the price for me since I watch all the games on game pass and maybe be full game for a couple a week.

All the other content is great too.

8th May apparently it launched on PS4. That makes it even better!

I've only used it when the Broncos are one of the earlier games but not being shown live by Sky, which has been pretty rare the last few seasons, feels like 80% of our games were late games so 01:25 :(

Better than the other two Sky slots tbf. I rarely get to watch at that time and if I miss a Pats game I have to contend with the blackout ffs.

Sky's extended highlights packages available the following morning are usually pretty good.

If the NFL fix the problems with game pass I might be tempted to fork out £140 for it this season. Mainly to watch the Dolphins as I doubt we'll be on TV much and the full game in 40 minutes thing they do is sweet.

Has improved a lot since the new app launched at start of last season. Much more reliable and better now.

I have access to HD RedZone every Sunday, can someone explain to me or convince me what the advantages of buying a GamePass are? I’m okay with the highlights videos on nfl.com the day after so it’s not like I need to watch condensed videos for every game.

I’m tempted to buy one but not sure if it’s worth the money.

In terms of NFL coverage if you’re happy with red zone plus weekly highlights on NFL.com, then the only real benefit of it is if you want to watch the other NFL content like nfl films and other nfl shows. Or if you’re into watching nfl network.

Oooh NFL Network, I was not aware of that benefit.

Sky’s coverage is greatness. Just need to hire someone who’s only job is to mute Reynolds’ mic at certain times (all the time pretty much).

Scott Hanson was brilliant when he was on Sky. Could tell he really didn't like Neil.

To give Neil a bit of credit, he's better than the american woman they had the season before. She was truly terrible.

Not sure it's worth the money for me then, as NFL Films also appear on YouTube most of the time.

It's just that I'm relying on reddit streams for RedZone, they're usually good enough quality but always a stressful moment on Sunday evening to see whether there's a good one available :D

Love my gamepass. Watch Good Morning Football regularly and a few documentaries as well. The Red Zone is impeccably hosted by Scott Hansen and I watch that for the whole 7 hours every Sunday evening during the season. The missus has learnt to accept that.

I watch the night games if I bother the day after, most of them have been edited a bit so the games aren't as long. Don't care for the 40 min condensed games, but it's a nice option to have.

Used to watch it on streams but I won't go back there any time soon.

Nice. I've been going the last two years, do you guys usually get good seats? I'll be at the Oakland v Seattle and the Philly v Jax games.

This is the first time I will be watching an NFL game , the seats aren't great but as an Eagles fan I am not going to complain

Block 521 row 8 last year IIRC which suited me because I prefer being higher up. This year I'm block 504 row 30. I would prefer to be in a lower row but I had no choice when I was selecting the seats because ticketmaster was being a bitch as usual.

Fair, one of my friends works for Ticketmaster so sometimes we get decent seats.

Nice. I'm a 'Hawks fan but not sure if I can definitely make it cos I've gotta travel for work before but fingers crossed I'll be there.

Might meet you guys for a pint before.

I've got the season ticket this year.. Basically so I could guarantee a ticket to the Seahawks game.

For Pats Fans....

Philip Dorsett is making progress in gaining Tom Brady's trust, which he didn't have last year. He has worked his way into the veteran group which works separately with Brady. Also, Braxton Berrios is working with the punt return group.

I love gamepass. Lets me watch the ravens every week. Granted it works out at roughly 10 quid a game but feck it.

Can't wait for Rays HOF speech

Considered doing that but couldn't afford it in the end. Just got to pray some Seahawks tickets somehow make it to general sale.

So I've been having a discussion with my friend, and I think quarterback is an important but very overrated position. Seems to me coaches and fans have become so fixated on anomalies like (Peyton) Manning, when in reality all that's needed for you to win games is for your quarterback to not lose the ball unnecessarily and put the ball in the hands of the playmakers.

If anything, I actually think quarterbacks are usually the biggest weak link in a team because they touch the ball so much. And from what I've seen, most good defenses are designed to put more of the offense in the hands of the quarterbacks because over the course of 4 quarters, they will almost always make costly mistakes (even the great ones).

Or am I just crazy?

Sorry but ... going to go with you’re crazy!

Not entirely imo. Bortles got to the AFC Championship game on the back of a great D and powerful RB. Manning won a SB just by not sucking and riding his D as well, all in the last few years. Having a great QB helps a great deal and it increases your chances a lot, but it’s not true that you need a good QB to win it all - a decent one who isn’t error-prone is sufficient if all other things to compete are there.
