Norwich City vs. Manchester United

Enough creativity in there with Giggs, Kagawa, Carrick and Young to make sure Chich is well supplied. We'll do them.

I have a feeling it'll be more of a 4-3-3 than a 4-4-1-1 with Kagawa in behind like a lot of people are assuming.

Hmmm doesn't look great, one of the weakest starting X1's I've seen but hope we can just pull it out the bag. Don't blame Moyes for resting a few, we've been flat out for past few games.

Rooney rested completely? Surely it would make more sense to have him on the bench if he isn't injured?

I reckon the old Rooney Christmas Party was in full swing this weekend...

Or maybe Moyes let him have his pissup.

Because today we play Norwich, next Wednesday we play Spurs. I know which game I'd prefer him playing in.

Spot on. IF anything it could be a risk playing Cleverley and Evra. They both will likely start Wednesday and neither have even the Carling Cup off in the last few weeks. At least Rooney had that as a rest.

Fergie always used to rest everyone once, outside of the centre backs, during the Christmas period bar him playing Evra and Carrick every game last season and normally even the centre backs would have had some rotation.

8 of Norwich's starting XI started the 3.00pm defeat against Fulham 2 days ago so hopefully fatigue will play a part for them and prevents them playing a high-tempo pressing game.

We've been able to freshen the side up a little bit, although alot of the changes have been forced on us.

This thread is basically what goes on in my head during that time of the season on Football Manager.

A real Fergie line up. We'll scrape this I think.

If we do it'll be a testament to our squad.

Our two best strikers and best players out, two of our first choice wingers out and our first choice right back out.

So I'm watching Canal +Sport, and the first thing the presenter says is,"So, , Manchester against Norwich. And Norwich is a city where exactly? "

You've never heard an English channel explain where Basel, Bursa or Braga is to it's viewers?

Huge chance for some of these players, especially Kagawa and Hernandez. They can't feck this up, Kagawa has fallen a bit out of favour in the last month so its a good chance for him to claim his place and Hernandez is obvious, he's become our 4th choice striker now. This is a perfect opportunity in a important game at a important time

That side's nowhere near as bad as being made out here. Remember Norwich will also not be at full strength and have to rotate to.

We got a top striker with Kagawa who plenty rate very highly, Young who is an international and in good form and Giggs who still is a good player. Top that off with last season's first choice central midfield pairing and the back four that beat Arsenal.

The weakness in the side is the possible fatigue with Cleverley, Evra and Carrick come back into the team. The personnel are fine. I'd wager we are the second strongest side being fielded in these 3 o'clock kicks off after City.

Agree, also suspect Kagawa and Giggs will be doing a lot of interchanging.

With Rooney out I hope Moyes recognises how important having the third body in CM is and replaces him.

They showed it on a map, it's further North than I expected.

 So it was even educational to you!

I have to admit, I thought it was more towards Reading.

Januzaj looked exhausted in the second half on Thursday. Good decision to bench him.

It's a good lineup, but overall we just look a bit weak without Rooney or RVP. No world class players.

Big blow with Rooney out, but let's hope we have enough. Norwich are playing a 2nd game in 3 days too.

Rooney seems to miss Norwich away quite a lot though!
