Some top performances tonight. First half we didn't create too much against a spirited Peterborough side. Second half we were amazing - some of the Peterborough players would've been tiring but the way we passed the ball around was very good. Ruud looks sharp, Ronaldo was doing his usual flicks and tricks AND delivering an end product. Scholes and Giggs had good games, as did Smith, Eckersley was steady again and the rest of the defense were rarely tested.
Oh, and one final point.
Tonight pretty much confirmed to everyone what a lot knew already. Rossi is ready for a taste of first team action next season - I've no doubt about it. The way he linked up with Ruud and co today was hopefully a taste of what is to come in the future, especially the first touch, turn, leave 2 defenders for dead and roll it into Ruud for the 1st goal. And what a well taken goal himself, could've had another from a placed shot that was very well saved early in the 2nd half. Just how many run outs SAF will give him next season remains unknown but I bet SAF would've decided that Rossi will make his Premiership debut at some point this season.
