I agree, always a tough game, Over the last 3 years they've had the better of us at Ewood Park, with them picking up 7 of 9 points. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet, and we are going to miss Keane's leadership qualities. Probably best not to play Spector, it will be a much tougher game than last nights, but we may have to with Keane, Rio, Wes, Fortune and Heinze all out. They'll come at us, but it's a must win for us, and I'm sure Fergie and the players know we have to win to keep up with Arsenal and Chelsea.

If Saha doesn't play, Scholes just behind Smith, and Fletcher,Kleberson or Phil in midfield along side double DJ. Ronaldo may be saved for home game VS Everton, as Fergie likes to use him in home games, because it's what the fans want to see, although I suspect this will be a tougher game. If Ronnie doesn't play, I'd expect Miller on the right. Anything but Fletcher on the wing.

Freidel's not 100% so goals should be there....

BTW, the badges are in the wrong place,

Sir Alex has already said he'd start the same backline he started against Dinamo

Good one, but Saha is fit?

I'd play:

-----------Howard----------
-G.Nev-O'Shea-Silv-Spector-
------Fletcher-Djemba------
---Ronaldo-Scholes-Giggs---
-----------Smith-----------

Fergie won't.

BBC Prediction thread (US Reds - match is live on FSW, 730am EDT)

Saturday

Blackburn v Man Utd
Kick-off 1245
Blackburn had a very tough game at Arsenal and have had a tricky start to the season.

But Graeme Souness has signed some good players and I think they will be okay this season, with a marked improvement in their home form.

Manchester United, despite so many injuries to senior players, still have real competition for places at the moment with many youngsters desperate to impress.

Alan Smith has been in great form and his goals in Europe almost justify his transfer fee already.

Full match preview

Verdict: 1-2

--------------------------------------------------------

Here is the prediction against Everton.

Monday

Man Utd v Everton
Kick-off 1200
As much as Everton are hard working and well organised by David Moyes, I don't think they have the quality to upset United at Old Trafford.

I cannot see where the goals will come from.

United are getting stronger.

You can see a point in the near future when their squad takes on a whole new dimension.

Louis Saha is closing in on fitness, Ruud van Nistelrooy isn't too far away, and Rio Ferdinand is near the end of his ban.

Gabriel Heinz will soon return from the Olympics and Wes Brown has started training again.

In a month or so there will be a real buzz about their squad.

Verdict: 2-0

Help.

Does anyone here have NTL, yet not a premiership plus season ticket? I had one last year, and am getting one after I've moved house, but atm I get a black screen with a phone number on it, rang them up to order the game, and they said you do the 'on demand' interactive thing, so I done that/ sports, and the game is not listed, will it become available tommorow closer to the game? Or is it another case of NTL's shite interactive services? £12 it was last year for a season ticket, fecking £50 this year. Going back to sky, then atleast I can get a choice on football first.

Fergie won't.

don't be so sure, at least for the back four he already said that he wont change it. And I'm pretty sure Djemba will keep his place. I'd probably say Miller will come in and play alongside Djemba or, take Ronaldo place on the right, with Fletcher in the middle

I reckon we'll see this:

----------------Howard----------------
--G Nev--O'Shea--Silvestre-Spector--
-Fletcher-Djemba--Scholes--Giggs--
----------------Ronaldo---------------
-----------------Smith-----------------

Carroll
P Nev
Saha
Kleberson
Bellion/Miller

Is Miller injured?

---------------------- Howard ----------------------
Gary ----- O'Shea ------ Silvestre ------ Spector
Miller ---- Fletcher ------ Djemba --------- Giggs
---------------------- Scholes ----------------------
----------------------- Smith -----------------------

I'll expect Ronnie, Saha and Phil/Kleb to come on the 2nd half

2-0 United

oh lord no, not miller on the right wing!
i would rather see kleberson placed there instead of miller.

either kleberson - fletcher - djemba - giggs
scholes
smith

or

fletcher - scholes - djemba - giggs
saha - smith

Reports are saying Ronaldo might play in the hole behind the striker, that would be very interesting!

---------------------Tim--------------------
Gaz----------O'shea------Micky------Spector
kleb-------Saha-------Fletch-------Giggsy
-----------------Scholesy-------------------
------------------Smith---------------------

subs:
dje dje
caroll
ronnie
p neville
miller

i think fergie will rest ronnie, and kleb showed good crossing/passing skills ag. dinamo. Saha played central/inner midfielder ag. PSV in the preseason, fergie might use him. but i really hope united go back to 4-4-2 with saha and smith on top. then scholesy will go back to a midfield role, making excellent passes, and break trough balls...

btw. is the match covered on the planetfootball-live (radio)link? anybody knows?

This will be my first game this year online, I'll be in the chat room providing as decent a commentry as I can manage, come on United.

Team:

Howard - Spector, Silvestre, O'Shea, Neville - Giggs, Kleberson,Djemba,Ronaldo - Scholes - Smith

Subs: Caroll, P Neville, Miller, Saha, Bellion.

Gamst Pedersen makes his debut for blackburn. and John Stead ;( is playing up front

Blackburn: Friedel, Neill, Matteo, Amoruso, Short, Thompson, Ferguson, Tugay, Pedersen, Stead, Dickov. Subs: Emerton, De Pedro, Enckelman, Johansson, Yorke.

Man Utd: Howard, Gary Neville, Spector, Silvestre, O'Shea, Ronaldo, Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson, Giggs, Scholes, Smith. Subs: Phil Neville, Saha, Bellion, Carroll, Miller.

just watching the espnstar broadcast...and one of the experts just said that rooney will eventually replace scholes in our team... i never really thought abt that... seems pretty obvious now that i think of it... but how old is scholes exactly?? i would have thought that he has another 4 years in him minimum.
