You're doing ok, it's pretty 50/50 now. But in the last third of the field, you're lacking real penetration and creativity.

Chelsea have a little more of a 'flow' to their game at the moment.
Sounds a lot like last season :(

Just lacking that edge at the moment, Giggs is dragging his marker inside, Quinny needs to get into the space and put a ball in. We've popped the ball around well and probably deserve to be at atleast 1-1. Really bad mistake from Howard for the goal, IMO.

We miss Ronaldo so much it's unbelievable.

We were doing ok until their goal, but now 1-0 down, I don't see where our goal comes from, our attacks are slow and predictable.
Wonder why Giggsy isn't playing.
I know he's on the team sheet, but why isn't he playing...

whats happening so far? are we playin good??
We're doing well if you consider the depleted squad. A draw would be fair right now and that is a lot to say for their effort. However, our lack of striking options is worrying, we don't look like we can play the killer pass, or have someone to play it to. Defence shaky.

Fortune is not a defender and O'Shea takes fecking ages to control the ball and do something with it in midfield, I would swap their positions. Other than that, not much we can do. Scholes is looking out of form and sluggish, can't see him scoring. I don't think this is a game for Forlan in terms of the flow of play, but if things stand the same after 70 mins I would give him a go hoping he can whack it in from outside the box.

I should say that we played quite well. For the time being it would be 7/10 rating for the whole team. One mistake cost us goal, what's more it was their first shot on goal. I think that Gazza should have marked Drogba when he headed the ball towards Eidur. Tim should have stayed in the goal. We play very high but Chelsea defending is well organized. They let us attack higher and created a fruitful counter-attack. Nothing special when it comes down to the individual assessment. We lack creativity when opposed to composed defence.

Still 45 mins to change everything.

I am happy with our midfield overall. Djemba tackles well but his lay off balls are always off. Miller looks to be dying to to be playing in the middle.

If Scholes, Giggs and Smith get one or two passes together we are in.

Did'nt expect us to win this. If we continue to play as well I wont be dissapointed.

BTW, Chelsea look "normal", not much to show for their megabucks. As usual, Gudjonssen is the only player in that team I would love to have at OT, great professional and glad he scored and not one of the other expensive cnuts.

I dont think you necessarily deserve to be level purely because when you go forward, you're not really offering a threat. Chelsea however, have had a couple of occasions where they've broken forward quickly, and your defence has struggled to cope with it.

Your attacks have been a bit too slow and you've had to deal with heavy numbers in the Chelsea backline, whereas Chelsea are attacking quicker and look more of a threat.

Having said that, actual chances have been very few and far between. Chelsea (due to a mistake at the back) have been able to get in behind you and took their chance. You havent been able to break them down at all.

They're shading it slightly.

Forgot... Argentinian pundit reckons Ferreira looks scared. He hasn't gone past midfield line. Me reckons he doesn't want to catch up with Keano

Do you really think you're playing 'well' ?

You're playing ok. But you've no real threat.

At this moment, i cant see where a goal is coming from for you.

While Chelsea might not be playing their best football, I think it us who are ordinary so far...

Are you watching fox sports because the guy is an idiot he says o'shea sa playing as a centre foward

Given the teamsheets, I expected more from them and less from us, that's all.

You've come out for the second half looking like you're going to adopt a far more attacking attitude. Whether you'll find the cutting edge, only time will tell. You're suddenly looking infinitely more capable of scoring though.

Whether your defence is up to the challenge of Chelsea's attack, i dont know.

It's very rare i'll say this but i think the manager has got it wrong. O'Shea should be at CB and Keane in midfield. Keane, apart from the match in Juve hasn't impressed me in the centre of defence. The midfield look like they need a bit of organising. We're not break Chelsea's attacks down quick enough.

Frustrating as he might be at times, Diego is no worse than many on there and he probabl has a better goals/minutes played ratio than anyone there over the last two years. It could help take the whole defence off Smith. Miller off, Forlan in IMO.

ah great...bellion or richardson coming on

ah feck theyre both coming on
