Saturday 11th February, 5:15pm kickoff at Fratton Park.

To be honest I don't like our games at Fratton Park, we struggled there in two years in a row recently and this game is not going to be any easier. We went there year ago after a vital 2-0 win against Arsenal and lost after really bad performance, two years ago we went there completely out of form, after a truly bad run and lost as well.

Despite signing some decent (not really class, because world class players would never join team who is fighting against the odds to stay in Premiership) they still look pretty weak, yet next week they will play with their bigger asset upfront (Lua Lua that is) who may be a real threat for our relatively poor defence.

Portsmouth have never been an easy one for us, but hopefully we can break our poor record at their stadium by winning next week's game. 3 points is the only thing we should be satisfied with at the moment, fighting for second spot that will lengthen our summer holiday and prevent United from travelling to third world country for CL qualifiers game.

3-0 to United. I expect the defense to shore up considerably with Rio back, and Saha's just on fire right now.

-------------VDS
Neville - Brown - Rio - Evra
Ronaldo - Smith - Fletcher - Giggs
---------- Ruud - Saha

Subs: Howard, Rooney, Vidic, Park, Bardsley

I don't think it'd be fair dropping Saha with the form he's in, and a rest wouldn't do Rooney any harm.

Brown to continue alongside Rio for now... It's probably a mistake trying to introruce Vidic _and_ Evra both at once. If Fergie plays Vidic instead of Brown with Rio, then I'd like him to have Silvestre at left-back instead.

Giggs and Ronaldo on the wings, but wouldn't be too surprised if either of them was dropped for Park.

Wouldn't argue too much with Rooney been given a bit of leeway here, put him on the bench I'd say, and give him minutes on the pitch regardless of how the match is going, but no more than 20-25 mins. It's Liverpool in the Cup see.

They are not showing this game on telly live I'm going to call and complain.

Edit* Excellent they are showing it now.

Actually I can't believe that they show this game in Poland. They haven't shown our game except of Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea ones for ages  Not that it's going to be live coverage, but I can wait an hour to watch it without checking the score.

They're textbook game-raisers this lot....but do we have the balls for it?

We certainly should have, there's no magic formula required, just effort.

Tell me about it.... spent £60 odd the last 2 seasons to go to shithole park and stand in the open air on some shit scaffold seating rig, with a porta-loo and a luke-warm-pasty selling kiosk..... then had to face a pub full of pompey fans giving me a whole heap of shit afterwards becuase their game raising twats had beaten us yet again.

If it happens 3 years running..... I'm moving away from pompey I swear.

Giggsy To Sail Back
Ryan Giggs is ready to play for Manchester United next weekend at Portsmouth. The 32-year-old winger has missed three matches with a hamstring strain. He was fit enough to be on the bench against Fulham on Saturday but Sir Alex Ferguson gave him the extra rest.
