Leaked early prototype of the Playstation 4 pad. It's been confirmed by multiple 'sources' apparently and Sony has responded to our inquiry to note that it "can't comment on rumors or speculation".
Another source has told IGN that the mysterious space in the middle of the controller can be pressed like a button, something Kotaku's source has also stated. Our separate source also indicates that the R2 and L2 buttons may actually be more in line with spring-loaded Xbox 360-like triggers and that the light atop the controller is indeed a PlayStation Move sensor.
It's an early prototype so expect the final version to look better but you can see the basic idea of the pad.

There were some rumours doing the rounds yesterday that the analog sticks were being replaced with touch pads. Thank feck that was all bollocks!

I hope not. I would prefer a controlled designed around proper use for gaming, than one that has had a move sensor shoved into it. Just keep a separate controller for all the move crap. If people want that they buy the separate controlledA Move sensor?

You're missing the point..... the Move sensor is the PS Eye, not the glowing bulb on the Move controller.
It will use an extension of remote play with any portable touch screen device. You can control the Netflix app on PS3 now with an iThing as an example.

Many "experts" are speculating that the microphone will be used to talk to the ps4 Siri style.
Just saying that it's a far more sensible thing to interact and stream shit to devices that people already own than trying to make your own shitty tablet type device. Obviously, VITA would be the best controller in such a situation rather than an iPod, because it has all of the meat.
So what purpose would it serve on the controller. I'm assuming its not the old sensor on the controller that connect it to the playstationIt's the sensor.

Looks a bit more refined in that picture, hard to know what it'll be though, seeing as the boomerang was the controller until everyone moaned about it. Definitely see the new features remaining, case of design left for question.

Grey and black?? It's shiny black and Matt black and the colour scheme is class looking. The button layout is probably a little off, but I think it's reasonable to assume it's a close thing.
