So like last season it turned into another torrid day at the London Stadium. We were never at it today, from the off we were lethargic, with no ideas of how to break down West Ham. Sloppy defending allowed West Ham to score the opening goal just before half-time.

In the second-half we played with a bit more urgency and should have equalisd through Mata and then Maguire but failed to take those chances. West Ham then punished us with a late free-kick goal from Cresswell.

To compound our problems Rashford picked up a thigh injury which left us without any fit strikers for the last 30 minutes of the match. Our lack of squad depth was really exposed today.

A bad day.

Game went as expected for me. Terrible finishing and no control from ourselves and West Ham aren't too shabby. This is the reality for us and has been for a while reading posts on here expressing shock at this result truly baffles me. Our squad desperately needed reinforcing in the summer, even if we kept Sanchez and Lukaku, we still needed to bolster it.

It was head-bangingly obvious from the start of the summer transfer window what we needed to do and the club didn't. Whether Ole was content I dont know but its between him and board to take responsibility for this monumental feck up.

Whoever it was that thought letting Fellaini, Herrera, Sanchez and Lukaku leave the club without replacing them needs sacking.

Another season to 'write off' as UTD supporter.

This is our level under this clown, no surprise. I said we will finish between 6th-10th and I stand by that!

Genuienly, did anyone expect anything other than a loss?

We’re supporting a midtable club, maybe we shouldn’t be so suprised with results like this.

The starting line-up looked like that of a midtable team - and played like that, too.

We're an insignificant team, there to make up the numbers. That's our role for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely dire. And I'm talking about west ham. United was a couple notches worse.
Woodward has to go. That has been the main consistent factor over the years. Until he's gone, nothing will change.

We finished with a front three of James, Lingard and Pereira. Had Mata behind. There is a real lack of quality offensively in our team.

Can we sack Ashley Young already?

All aspects of the football club is not good enough. The manager, the players and the person in charge of transfers and contracts.

Going to be a struggle to maintain top 6 with this squad this season.

Ole needs another summer to continue clearing out the dross, and signing more young hungry players

I’m really hoping for some good, apologetic tweets from the players this evening. That’ll be just the ticket.

The more things change the more they stay the same.
Feel sorry for the young lads.
Matic has to depart he's finished at this level.
Glazers + Woodward + Fergie's fallout with JP = disaster

A mess, needed to do more in the summer window. Nobody would get a good tune out of the 11 on the pitch

Ed Woodward knows feck all about football why is he even in charge?

I can't wait for Young/Mata in the post match press conference.

- The boys in the dressing room are gutted
- We know we didn't play well
- Maybe a little bit unlucky
- Get our heads down in training next week

Same old same old for the past 6 years

If the presser is a bunch of excuses about injuries, and how we should have taken our chances (Mata and Maguire), I think I'll be in the Solskjaer out camp by tonight. I firmly believe the owners and their puppy Woodward is the real problem, but it's obvious Ole Gunnar is never gonna stick up to them, and he's not good enough to turn granite into gold.

I don't even feel mad these days. Just resigned to being shite.

Went into the game expecting to lose, and the game played out exactly like I though it would.
