While Chelsea vs Arsenal is obviously the standout, I can't help but feel the Leicester vs Wolves game will be even better. 3-2 in that one :D

A few potential upsets this week... Palace away on a Monday night is always quite difficult, Brighton away won't be easy for us, and I have a feeling Fulham will get a point from Spurs.

Thought Arsenal looked awful on Sunday so think Chelsea will win quite easy.

Another week where all our rivals pick up maximum points. The only one that's isn't so sure is Liverpool but I expect them to win.
Chelsea are going to beat Arsenal.

Some interesting games at 3. Gonna be hard to choose one to watch. Either Leicester v Wolves or Fulham v Spurs but kind of interested to see Everton too assuming they start more of their signings this time around.

Spurs vs fulham more interesting imho

City Huddersfiel will be a cricket score.

Hopefully we can sneak a win at Brighton. Some good football would be welcomed but I doubt it.

Palace Liverpool tough one to call, I think Liverpool's firepower will be enough to see them through.

Chelsea arsenal. Poor Unai.

The rest of the games, not that bothered really.

Cardiff v Newcastle televised? I think I'd rather watch any other of the games.
Contractual obligation to televise every single team a minimum number of times per season.

Cardiff v Newcastle is a good way to kill two birds with one stone. It's still the school holidays, so ratings are never going to be good with loads still on their vacation. Might as well show this match to get it out of the way.

Incidentally, Necastle were the lunchtime game last weekend as well. The broadcasters have probably identified them as a shitshow.

I *think* 28 is the maximum and 7 is the minimum.

Edit: From next season, it's 31 max and 8 minimum per team. Though it depends on which rights package you're talking about and potential fixture clashes.

Watching football in this country is so hard, for the 20 pounds a month I pay to sky (discounted price) I am getting Cardiff Vs Newcastle , a championship game and an MLS game live today . What an absolute joke

It's the only way you'll get to watch the big teams at the sharp end of the season. Check my post above. If Sky don't do this now, they'll have to do it later at a time when the games actually matter.

I get where you're coming from, though. But the rights package are written in a way to ensure that every club gets exposure and a reasonable split of the TV money. The alternative is a La Liga style duopoly.

I understand that but my issue is more with the distribution of rights between two different networks, no 3pm games on TV and now a 3rd network carrying Serie a and la Liga

Cardifs nr 3 looks good. Made a few good slidings. Murphy looks like a talent too.

There are other means of watching live football in the UK.

The Fulham v Spurs game should have been the televised dinner time game, this is dull.

They have to show each team a set amount of times, so they like to get the crap teams like Cardiff a game in early

If only there was some way for the ref to be informed that he's completely messed up and give him a chance to fix it...
Maybe a sort of video analysis system?

I dislike the man immensely but Shelvey is probably the best passer of the ball outside of the top 6 currently, played some quality balls today

A similar system to which you have described is being used in Cricket. It's working wonders by all accounts.

I thought they'd have at least saved the required prerequisite games for Cardiff ( and even Newcastle) for when they're in their inevitable relegation battles later in the season, at least it would have more interest for a neutral viewer when they games have significantly more consequence.

The Fulham V Tottenham game is a derby and their is interest in Fulham from a neutral perspective after their signings, at the start of the season when you want to hype fans up for an exciting new season on sky sports there is probaly few less inappropriate games to show than Newcastle V Cardiff, it's a bit like swapping Rafa Benitez for Dave Gandy in them Mens wellness Vitamin adverts and being suprised when nobody buys your tablets when you've advertised them so masterfully.
