Premier League Matchweek 6 (September 23rd - 25th)

For all their new signings, West Ham look awful. This may finally be the year where they go down.

And stay down!

Bar the odd season in 5 this is West Ham all over. They have a habit of going for names above all. Perfect club for a mid table footballer to bump the bank balance as they aren't exactly frugal with wages.

For all the money being spent westham (Everton as well) looks worse than last year.

Why do they keep overspending on overrated epl players while you can pick better players .

Doesnt help when your chairman also plays fantasy football !

They will sack Bilic and will for the same tried and tested english managers. Merry go around !
Big Sam or 'Arry. Never give a young English manager a go. Just the same old names. Alan Pardew in the pundits box. They could sack Bilic at HT and have a new manager straight away.

There's not that many left that West ham haven't hired: Allardyce,Pardew,Curbishley;all sacked! Hodgson gone. That leaves Hughton,Howe,Dyche. Would any of them go to that shower of a club? It's clear who's running it and it's not the manager

Their twitter account runs the club.

The only player in Europe with more league goals than Kane in 2017 is Messi. Pretty incredible.

Yeah they do like to think themselves bigger than they are don't they. I just get the feeling that this year will see the back of them finally.

Even with Lukaku there? How much do you think you would offer?

It's squad game mate and 2 top strikers is better than 1. This will very likely be Ibra's last season at United and he will need replacing. I can think of no striker more suitable than Harry Kane.

Absolutely the best out and out striker in the prem.

We need to break the bank for this guy next summer.
Really not needed now we have Lukaku. Kane's better but value for money Lukaku was by far the better choice.

Maybe when they are down in the championship, people will start to pay more attention to how much tax payers money was gifted to west ham for that bloody stadium.

Also incredible how people still speak with apprehension when describing him as one of the best strikers in the world. He clearly is.
I think it's because his international return isn't as good as his club's but that ignores the fact that England are pretty poor in midfield

That first header from Kane was a phenomenal finish. To flash it across and down at that pace and angle ... and he made it look so easy.

I agree, think he would suit you down to the ground I just don't think you could happily accommodate them both. Both deserve to play week in week out as the main man.

There is absolutely zero chance you're going to have Kane and Lukaku in the same squad with one of them on the bench.

Vertonghen has been incredible. Has been the best defender in the league for over a year imo.

Second spurs goal: this is why I think Hart is such a poor keeper. he never came all the way and shut out the light a la Peter the Great nor stayed put and waiting calmly for the shot. Half-baked block leaving a huge hole for Kane to score. In my mind, he is why West Ham are stuggling. He is such a poor keeper

it was a great finish but I just wonder whether he was offside at the start of the move and for the header (obviously not if he was behind the ball when crossed: I haven't seen a slo-mo replay with lines drawn on the screen

He was on side for the header I think Alli was offside in the first phase but wasn't interfering with play.

This view doesn't surprise me coming from an Arsenal fan in all honesty.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that Lukaku and Kane could not coexist at the same club.
