Premier League Sept 28-30

hehe- looking at Jose's face there, I think I now want spurs to win it.

Fabulous goal. Brilliant stuff from erikson. The change of direction and pass was fantastic.

Still early days, but so far Eriksen is proving his critics wrong. Many of them were saying he's vastly overrated.

Early days and all but this Tottenham really impress me. They look ready to challenge. Their first team are genuine title candidates, but I have to admit I don't really know much about their squad depth.

Soldado not getting much service, but often turning provider himself for runners from midfield.

looking at their subs for today, AVB has really improved their squad depth. Their team has quality replacements and they can maintain a European and domestic challenge with this squad.

Chelsea looked very rushed in attack. Lack of composure.

Everytime I see Chelsea it makes me think we should've went more attacking vs them at home

We forget Spurs have a very good record against Chelsea at home. One defeat in the league in six years I think?

Their problem is the away form against the big teams.

I don't think so. There's potential there but probably not enough players with proven quality both in attack an defence. They have one quality striker uptop but he's proven in a very different league. Their defence is doing well right now but again, I'm not sure they have the kind of defenders that you need to win the league. At least they haven't shown it yet.

Maybe they don't have enough to really win it, but I can see them put in a decent challenge and build from there.

Did Michael Owen just say that Chelsea are trying to get the ball to "your Matas and Oscars".

Normally I'd support Spurs in a game like this but seeing as Glaston supports them I'd rather Chelsea won.

He won the ball well before he got the man, the tackle was from the side with no studs up or anything.

Seemed fine to me.

maybe 15 years ago it would have been. Diving in and catching both the ball and the player falls under dangerous play in the rulebook and these days is given as a foul more often than not
