I think both teams played their hearts out. The ball didn't seem to bounce our way at times, but Wigan was definitely out for revenge. I thought both teams were very entertaining.

Bobby Charlton used to say with so many good players in the side one or two can have an off day and the rest will still get the job done. Rooney was not at his best....but that last goal was really his...not bad for an off day.

We were very lucky - we didn't really play, & Wigan were unlucky but should have finished better, with the amount of chances they had.
Harsh on Wigasn but to be honest, who gives a feck, we are 3 points better off than we were a few hours ago and thats all that matters.
I didn't think it was that bad a performace. Wigan were very determined and the pitch was horrid. We looked very good in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half and came from behind to win on the road. I'd actually say it's exactly the kind of performance that has been missing for most of the last 2 years.

Missed the game though, but saw the highlight this morning. Poor Chimbonda for scored an own goal in the injury time and saw Ronaldo baiting the Wigan fans for his goal celebration.
