we need keano to hack someone down or fergie to give them a right good bollocking

we need a fecking wakeup call, badly

I wish someone would sort out Zidane and Carlos with those fancy tricks they are doing, atleast lets go out with a bang, assuming we don't get back in it.

I wouldn't mind so much if Real had played like this all season - but they've struggled ffs!

this is not united, they are too nervous, come on LADS!!!

You reckon? That's very kind of you. ;)

Exactly, that's what makes them so awesome, they turn it on whenever it matters, with Zidane running the show you can't go wrong.

Think positive:

1. You still have 11 players
2. Real didn't get that penalty
3. One goal for you and it's totally new game

its time to play with our hearts if you ask me...we're being outplayed, but lets not get outfought. lets take it to em and shove their smugness up their ass.

bright point: Giggs looks electric, lets use him better.

cometh the hour....

id be enjoying this match if i was a neutral, i have to admit

But we're letting them ffs... the players should be embarassed to go out and play like that, watching respectfully as Real rip the piss out of us. Fergie had better be breaking things in the dressing room.

They only just got thru.

This is men against boys so far.
Just ran alongside them and let em play their game. Somebody should have eaten a booking and kicked one of them in the air.

We desperately need a goal. I'd settle for 3-1 right now.

I had a terrible feeling this was how the game would go. We just need to carry on and keep going. We need Sir Alex to shake them out of it, because they've been in a daze so far.

Boy have they been playing at 10% for most of the season then - shame we've chosen today to do that - I've never seen us more cautious, tame and negative. :(

2-1 and 1-0 at old trafford

and ill be glad.. come ON!!!!

I only got one thing to say to you...

COME ONE REDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE CAN DO IT!!!

...we should count our blessings, Ronaldo should've had a pen.

..i think they've gained confidence after the first goal.

Still, if we pull one back, the game will change.

we need Keano to kick-start us <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

They didn't even stop their cautious, neutered, approach after they'd gone down a goal or two.</strong><hr></blockquote>

We look intimidated and they're giving us a footballing lesson. The thing is it could have been even worse. The ref could easily have given Ronaldo a penalty and Fab handled the ball outside of the penalty box. We could have been down to 10 men.

They've looked awesome going forward...

I haven't seen them play that well this season..

Still reckon, we've let ourselves down... too many mistakes in our third.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Figo's goal came at our very best moment.

We had two three good chances, upto thjat moment.

Still the team seems SCARED.

A little bit of patience or calm could have given us a goal.

RUUD's having a bad day (night).

2-0 down at the bernabeu. :(

shit happens. we didnt play really well in the ist half (underestimate i hear u say)

i thiunk the lads shud settle down more and play the same football theve played thruougt this yrs. cl. altho this is a totally diff. scenario we r faced with.

firstly 2-0 down
second: we r playing REAL MADRID.

we need to believ in ourselves more. but i cant emphasis how desperalty we need AN AWAY GOAL. go back to OT 1-2 down with an away goal in the bag aint that bad....whereaz witout one we r bascailly fukd.

we need all the LEADERS in the team to stand up now and be counted...some players maybe playing for their career right now...lets do this...

CMON UNITED

Ole on for Gary, O'Shea on for Wes, go 3-4-1-2. I havent been impressed with Gary, he's looked shaky. Butt and Roy have to impose themselves.

right, lets hope for a better second half.
Fergie give Barthez a kick up the arse cos he's giving the defence the jitters. (and me!)
come on lads, goal back and its a different ball game.

saying that, if they score first in the second half, could end up 4 or 5-0 the way its going <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" /> <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" /> <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

We do that, if any man can snap 'em out of it, Alex can. What have we got to lose, we should go for broke and get them away goals - football's a funny game, things can turn around very quickly once a team gets a goal back.

As disappointed as I am, my main fear was that Arsenal would get thru and win the treble.

Whatever happens now, I can live with.

Sad, but true.

 He's been one of our only decent players.

Agree 100%. We were bossing the game early on, Ruud and Scholes came close to scoring, but then just one mistake (Gary ballwatching) and one moment of true brilliance has settled the first half imo. The second leg looks a long way away.

Let's go out there and play with pride and show we are UNITED!! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

I hear you on that, that would have been the ultimate suckage.

Anywho, now for the second half :)

come on united <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

People often make the mistake of thinking that if a striker isn't scoring, he's having a bad game - when in reality, he might be having a very good game - scoring goals depends a great deal on the chances that are made for you. Ruud can create his own chances, but in the main, a striker needs service.

Agree with you. Couldn't stand watching Arsenal win the treble at Old Trafford and listening to Wenger go on and on...about the greatest team in the world.

Whatever happens, my worst nightmare can't happen.
