Glad to see you back. Tbh, I'm liking your Agent Smith selection moreso than my Morpheus pick. It's funny how he never entered my mind when I thought of the Matrix. "Mr. Anderson..."

Thanks brother. And in fairness there are some on yours that I really like and considered but had to leave out. Fox Mulder, The Dude, Tony Montana..

You people have horrible taste in everything.

For those who watch Doctor Who, would you put down The Doctor, or is each incarnation its own character?

get the chalk and put me on the board:

I think my joke list was more subtle.

  1. Tommy Wiseau
  2. Mark from The Room
  3. Lisa from The Room
  4. Tbc

All votes should be for Mr. Sugden in Kes. Best football scene ever committed to film:

This Tommy Wiseau guy keeps cropping up but he's not got a hope in hell if the formats not changed.
Tommy's persona has no boundaries.

Fair to say Connery as Bond and Tennant as The Doctor were the best incarnations of each character.

So what will these guys votes be ignored when you are counting up?
Thanks for noticing, I remembered it but it got lost during my formatting. It's a shame though - with Bond it is almost the same character in every classical reincarnation. Not the Craig's one

I don't know - loved Connery of course, but the best Bond for me was Moore in The Spy Who Loved Me, my favorite film from the series also. Jaws and Bond scenes :drool::drool:
Feck, now I want Jaws on my list, he is the best grotesque villain ever

:) You know what. Moore's a really good shout - his movies were indeed some of the best overall as you pointed out. His iteration of Bond was certainly more palatable, a bit less edgy than say Dalton or Craig but more heroic, witty and humorous. Though IMO Connery (Goldfinger, Dr No, You Only Live Twice, From Russia With Love) was just the personification of what Bond is synonymous with - rugged, womanizer (to a fault maybe but that's the topic of another discussion), sophisticated, charming, alpha. That said I do think Connery being the first one works in his favour because it's permeated into public conscience. Kind of like Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones or Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal. Even if their successors pull a blinder in subsequent versions most people will always associated the character with its original portrayer.

I am edging towards Tony Soprano for the number 1 spot. The depth that went into that character was huge and the acting performance by Gandolfini is one of the greatest of all time and even though i prefer The Wire and Breaking Bad as TV shows i think Tony was a more fleshed out character than any that where on them 2 shows.

I need to be moderated - have I bent the rules a little including Tommy DiVito?
