Robinho..

I would say that they both have potential to become world class players, but Messi was lucky to be signed by Barcelona in a beggining stage of his career. Adjusting to Spanish league is certainly easier for a player who lives there since he was 15 or 16 than for Brazilian who had never played at that level before. That's why I think that Tevez has been wasting his talent by hanging around in South American clubs instead of joining top European force (he had offers from Bayern, PSV and probably plenty other clubs).

To be honest I'm not impressed with Robinho, predicted to be something special, he hasn't been so outstanding so far. But on the other hand I've seen him only eight up to ten time this season so I can hardly judge him.

I am no Robinho fan, but he did look very good today against Althletic Bilbao.

He still needs to put on some muscle.

There was a great documentary film on Skysports over christmas called 'Ginga-the soul of Brazilian football' by the bloke that directed 'City of God', they followed 3 or 4 young Brazilian lads including Robinho in the film and he was sensational.

Worth seeing if you get the chance.

Different types of players. They're both good. Rooney is better all round player.

Fair enough, Robinho is not a part time defensive midfielder or left back. But as support strikers, i think they're equal.
