had more shots on target than any other player today. Shay Given had his revenge for that cracker a couple of years ago.

Seriously, I thought he looked a bit off today, especially at the start of the second half. His pass to ferdinand was :drool: though

Apart from certain moments of petulance, I thought he had a good game. The thing that sets him apart from most players is that even when everyone had scored he wasn't desperate to get a goal just for himself; he was still looking up trying to see what was best for the team as a whole. Class player.

bit? try way off!

to his credit he played himself into the game. that pass to Rio was class, matched only by the class of Rio's finish.
 
He will score 3 or 4 when he breaks his duck
 
Rooney not only had a lot of shots but his passing was amazing. How many assists did he have? It was good to see him keep working for the team even though he probably realized he wasn't scoring on Given today.
 
From my point of view he was 95% there today. The vision, the passing, the commitment, the energy.

The only thing he lacked was the composure with his finishing. Otherwise he could have scored 10!! :devil:
 
If it wasn't for Given, It couldv'e very well been the biggest scoreline in Premiership history.

31 shots on goal today, Newcastle should count there lucky stars we only scored 6.

I think only one direct assist, but he had his part in 4 or 5 goals.
 
If it was Tevez who missed all these sitters today, everybody would be calling for his head.

Wasnt his day at all really, he tried but he got too frustrated and couldnt keep his composure in the first half, still manged good passes and had a decent game but could had easily got a hat-trick with the amount of chances he got.
 
Bad first half was a bit too greedy but we all know he's capable of a good shot.Second half was more like him started pinging great passes about and helped the team more.

Almost nothing came right for Wazza tonight.

Plenty of chances, just lacked that little composure in front of goal.

Fantastic assist to RIO though.
 
He don't need to prove his abilities.

His pass to Ferdinand was the best essence of the english football.

Possibly, and he is the best passer on the team after the two I mentioned, opps Anderson just surpassed him:p But when Carrick is on form he is scary, and So Is United
