Please don't unexpectedly die in the coming days. I would be high on the police list. It's tragicomic how often the police, while investigating someone for a murder, discovers that their search history includes stuff like "how to kill someone". It's never just the one hit either, they always try different search terms. I'm pretty sure most of the time the police didn't even need to use any special powers to access search logs (which has been very difficult to get in Norway), they just went into the browser history and there it was.

Tanks made in Russia. That's a T-90.
Did not expect that. Did it hit a mine?
It does indeed explode in a way that'd be rare in an 80s made-for-video action movie.I think an armor piercing projectile that hit the ammo storage. Could also be a mine of course that detonated the ammo storage. In any case, even the newer T-90 Russian tanks are death traps. We didn't see one western tank exploding like a bomb in this war yet. On the contrary, so far reports all mention that the crews of western made tanks managed to get out unharmed.

The autoloader is not the reason for this. Designs like the French Leclerc or the new German KF51 also use an autoloader and still have the same level of safety as the other Western tanks.Different designs. Russian tanks store the ammo in a ring around the turret feeding into an autoloader for a higher rate of fire and one less crewmember, but it means any hit sets off the lot. Western tanks store ammo deeper in the turret and isolate it from the crew compartment.

And Western tanks don't store it deeper, but instead so far outside that the ammo is stored effectively outside the main armour. It's Russian tanks that store them deep and that's what makes them explode once they are hit.
The Russian design makes tanks lighter, smaller and cheaper, but it puts the crew at a higher risk.
As I said, they could have built the tanks bigger than they could have it done like in western tanks. The autoloader is the original reason for that design. At the time it was seen as the best way to fit the system without compromising the crew compartment as in older tanks, but it places ammo next to the thinner side armour.
Western tanks store it well behind where its likely to get hit and they have isolation compartments. It's not kept outside the armour.

Idiots
https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/10/16/trial-by-combatEven a Ukrainian victory would present challenges for American foreign policy, since it would “threaten the integrity of the Russian state and the Russian regime and create instability throughout Eurasia,” as one of the former U.S. officials put it to me.
Ukraine’s desire to take back occupied Crimea has been a particular concern for Sullivan, who has privately noted the Administration’s assessment that this scenario carries the highest risk of Putin following through on his nuclear threats. In other words, there are few good options.
They wouldn't care less hadn't it been for the biggest nuclear arsenal on earth. Even 100 of those falling into nutjobs like the Khadirovs is rather unpleasant thought.Oh, please, those no-names can spare me the bullshit about the integrity of the Russian state.
Just be thankful he didn't go the full Jill Dando. That's why you use a container, proxy, tor network when looking up Holly Willoughby.
So who was it this time, Ukraine, Russia?
Russia, pretty obviously. And it is rather meaningless pipeline anyways.
The senator mentioned here is Josh Hawley.
https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...-aid-package-ukraine-worth-11-bln-2023-10-10/FRANKFURT, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Germany on Tuesday unveiled a fresh support package for Ukraine worth around 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion), its defence ministry said, adding the programme covered air defense, weapons and ground vehicles.
"Germany will continue to support Ukraine with what it needs most urgently - air defence, ammunition and tanks," German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said.
"With this new 'winter package' we are further increasing the operational readiness of the Ukrainian armed forces in the coming months."
If Russia could ever run short on artillery or tanks, i would be more excited over news like this.
They will run short at some point or do you really think they produce as fast as they lose them? It will take a lot of time no doubt, but at some point they will run short. It's simple mathematics. It just seems like they have an endless supply because they built it for ww3 against the United States, but even those stocks are not endless. I've seen many photos of Russian military camps with empty spaces where hundreds of tanks were parked before.
I don't know, probably not, but they are increasing their military budget by a lot next year.
Yeah I know, according to reports every third ruble in 2024 will be spent on the military. An economy cannot sustain that in the long term, especially under sanctions. It's the first sign of a unavoidable collapse in the future if you ask me, provided the Western help doesn't dry up.
Which report?US-supplied weapons to Ukraine have found their way to the Gulf, where they are possibly being used against Israel, America's closest ally in the region, according to a published media report - wondered how long this would take to raise to the top
