City council workers and close friends, 29-year-olds, Serhiy and Ihor, were among the 400 Sumy residents that took up arms on the first day of the invasion. Others joined in the days that followed as they overcame the shock, according to those involved. They said only about 20 out of 400 had previous military experience and coordination was carried out through messaging apps and phone calls, with groups riding around to locations in civilian cars and trucks to meet the incoming Russians.
While true it would make more sense to look at it month by month, as you will then see a clear drop, it just took time to create and implement sanctions, but early on the physical volume of imports was similar to last year, but more money was paid due to higher prices.
Yes, but that's a different statement. Verhofstadt claimed that the sanctions have no effect and that's simply wrong. The fact remains that the EU gave more money to Russia in 2022 than in 2021.

One has to acknowledge that it took time to show an effect and that therefore the 2022/2021 comparison doesn't look good, but 2023 will look much different.
So the Yale study is wrong? No, what Guy Verhofstadt wrote is just the facts, it is exactly what happened in 2022. Please read it again:
<<1 picture says it all…
9 packages of sanctions and the effect is less than 0 !
We are rewarding Russia for its war against us !>>
Well yes, when did those sanctions come into effect? It wasn't at the beginning of the year. If you want to see the effect of 9 packages of sanctions you have to compare the time when they are implemented to the time before. Everything else is either stupid or cheap populism. No, what Guy Verhofstadt wrote is just the facts, it is exactly what happened in 2022. Please read it again:

The economy overall is suffering terribly, it's just the energy sector that produces record numbers. So the Yale study is wrong?

142% increase for Greece, you think the EU should do something about them?
The EU should do something about the EU.
Germany has the primary responsibility for this mess. And now about Greece, between 2010-2019 it was basically Germany that made all Greek economic decisions, it was the corrupt Merkel government that destroyed the Greek economy (GPD down 23%!), and yes, it was Germany that pushed Greece to depend more on Russia.

Again, that's not what anyone disputes, but it is definitely a fact. But he also stated that the sanctions have zero effect and that's false.Verhofstadt said something very simple. The EU paid Russia more money in 2022 than in 2021. This is a fact. It is not an interpretation, it is fact.
So in other words, if Germany doesn't take the leadership role, Germany is responsible for everything bad.The EU should do something about the EU.

The EU should be doing more to help Ukraine. Again, this is very simple. The EU should be doing more than what the US is doing. The EU has this responsibility because in the past 20 years the EU, and especially Germany, encouraged Putin against the advice of the US. Germany and the EU helped create this mess, they should feel responsible for the Ukrainians that suffer and die every day, and they should help Ukraine beat Russia. The EU can do much more and should be doing much more.
Exactly, he said something very simple, and simple is the most stupid thing to do in an analysis so complex with so many variables, with relatives and absolutes
Ill say it again stupid, is a very simplustic and stupid analysis in special the conclusions. Very stupid. Did i said it yet? A very stupid analysis
Back to the topic, where Russians are again using incendiary ammo on Kherson city right now:
I really hope Ukrainian armed forces can finally receive everything what they need to push these savages out from their country. Inhuman evil saturated their lands.

That's what I thought..![]()

It's definitely not a main battle tank (which often seems to be the only type of vehicle English speaking refer to as a tank), but the French army does call it a tank and in other languages the equivalent word is used for a lot of armoured vehicles as well (in German we would call a main battle tank a "Kampfpanzer" = "fighting tank", the AMX-10 RC would be a "Spähpanzer" = "reconnaissance tank" etc).I'm not really sure what to call it, wheeled gun maybe but the AMX10RC is definitely not a tank.
Wheeled and light armor are not characteristics of a tank.
