0-2 although im not sure how much longer we can go without conceding a goal, but lets be optimistic. Saha,Rooney with the goals both in first half :)

Considering we play Celtic and Chelsea the following week, two big games for us, maybe we should rest some of the players. Of course if we rest too many players, then we risk another Southend-like performance.

Play strongest 11 from start, we can't afford any drop points in these kind of matches. We need to play the best 11 from start and not be stupid and play D.Jones in this match.

but my gut feel is SAF will tinker...and we will regret it.

better make sure my United shirt is out of the wash....got to give ourselves every advantage... :)
 
To be honest, I rather rest players against Celtic than Sheffield United. I think that the premiership is without a doubt the most important thing to win this season.
The only player who probably will be rested on saturday is Neville because of his injury problems this season.

I think that may be a better idea. I think we'll have to rest some players in one of those games if we want them to be fully fit for the Chelsea game. For starters, I don't see Neville being able to play all three games in a space of a week. If you also consider that most of our players will be coming back from the international friendlies, it's going to be 4 games in less than a fortnight. Players like Rooney and Ronaldo shouldn't have a problem, but I'm more worried about the likes of Giggs and Saha.

The good thing is that Chelsea will have the same problem, although they have enough players to rotate the squad effectively.

And lose the 3 point lead? No way. We can't give 4 of 11 players in the first team a rest in an away game in premiership.
For Sheffield United, this is like a cup final and they will do everyting they can to win or take a point in this game. And also, they have a week rest beacuse they don't have more than 2-3 players away on internationals.

Play our strongest 11 and then rest players if we lead 2 or 3-0. And if we should rest players, rest them on tuesday instead.
The Premiership is the most important this year, whitout a doubt.

I think one of the wingers will be rested. Neville will be out as well.
 
This will be very difficult, hope we get no injuries in mid week. Full strength, keep the run going. Unfortuanly Giggs may miss it due to the ankle injury the other night.That means fletcher or worse, richardson. Tough game this.
 
Giggs will probably get rested now, due to the ankle knock he picked up playing for Wales last night. Bar that i'd play strong team, its imperitive we keep out lead going into the match with chelski
 
Going to the game, but I'm sitting with the sheffield fans so I'm keeping my mouth firmly shut!
 
Put out best team available, and try to score 2 goals in the first half. Then bring off the tired players and get some fresh players on for the second half.

I'm expecting this to be a tough game... very tough.
