i reckon the only big loyal players are
- Gary Neville, no agents, united for life
-Probably Alan Shearer
-Paul scholes, isnt tempted by money
- thierry henry, never been tempted by any spanish or italian clubs

Giggs have been tracked by every club in the world and still at United.

Di Livio has to be given some credit for going down to Serie C2 with Fiorentina.

yeh i forgot to add giggs, dubery, didnt he leave for coventry or something.
maldini a loyal player

Hes at Stoke now, during his time at Lids though he did take a fair bit of critisms and stock with it.

Respect to the United boys. Class in staying where they are, and respect toBrian Robson, Shearer, Maldini et all.

Big Paddy Vieira

:smirk:

Seriously, Ole for rejecting a move to Spurs when he wasn't playing regulary.

And Matt Le Tissier

Bryan Robson. For me he was as loyal as a player could get.

Often carrying a mediocre team on his shoulders, and still wasn't tempted by the big bucks in Seria A. Delighted that he did get that league title before retiring.

Maybe even L.Robert,S.Campbell?

That's funniest comment since Gerrard decided to shaft the dippers.

As far as i remember Gary Neville was never really tested, he was always a reguar and nobody else wanted him anyway, wheras the likes of Scholes, Giggs etc had to reject interest from other clubs.

Personally, i think too much fuss is made out of this loyalty thing at United. I mean, everyone who ever plays for us is expected to spend their careers at the club, and it doesn't work like that. I mean, bar the keeper really, almost everyone in our first team today has or is proposed to be part of some plan that will se them in the team for 10 years, and we never sign a player who will play for us for just, say, 4 years. If a player wants to leave his club, or in effect, his job, the loyalty issue is always brought up, but people change jobs all the time and i don't see why they shoudl be vilified for it.

Bill Shankly once told a policeman off at Anfield because he was stepping on a scarf that had been thrown on to the pitch, he said "That's someone's life you're treading on." I think that's the difference between leaving a football club and leaving an office job for example.

I don't know why your laughing, I thought as a Leeds fan you would apprciate his loyalty to your club. He got alot of unfair critism when he was there, one of the most under rated players this country has seen.

Puyol stuck with Barca during their years of being the Dutch Reserve team despite interest from Madrid. He was on low wages too.

Hardly a core is it

That's one thing that i find amusing on this bored. For some reason or another, people take the mick out of Arsenal for having French players, but they have only 3 in their first team, maybe two with Pires not guaranteed a start.

Being a professional football is not just a job. They are worshiped by thousands of people who pay stupid prices for tickets and merchandise to pay their ridiculous wages.

 Of course part of the loyalty is owed to the manager. Im sure Scholes and Giggs and Neville all feel a great sense of loyalty towards SAF for nurturing them and bringing them along. And the French core of two players?? Even when Vieira was doing his usual i might leave nonsesnse ( which would have left a massive one player French core) Henry never ever hinted at leaving.

Even in comparison to the likes of Scholes and Giggs I think its fair to say that the interest in Henry (especially had Arsenal ever hinted at the possibility of a sale) is greater. He is a player that could command astronomical wages, probably walk into the first team of any team in the world, and yet he chooses to stay at Arsenal. For that he clearly deserves credit

Maldini is the greatest.!

For United I think it's Neville brothers, Scholes, Giggs, Solskjær.

Yeah now

But Giggs was also arguably the most sought after player in the world with record fees being thrown about and he never wavered.

Giggs has proved his loyalty

Henry might still yet leave.
