Correcting his own mistake in all fairness though maybe it wasn't such a forgone conclusion he would be so hopeless in midfield (though it did feel that way) . Hopefully he was just seeing if Kagawa could do a job there and he sure has found out.

Depending on how we play, its hard to see us needing him and Mata. Certainly sticking him out left as we often have is as pointless as playing Rooney or Jones in midfield, or Smalling at right back.
Hopefully, that's where Dortmund come in.

I am sure that he's a much better player then that but we simply don't need him. Considering that we need to rebuild the squad it would be better to cash on him now and bring the players we need then let him rot on the bench and then sell him on peanuts in 1-2 seasons time
