OK i've just finished watching the game for the first time this weekend, its the first chance I've had. So all i've heard until now was the result and other peoples opinions. After watching it I've decided to look at this from a glass hal f full opinion.
For the past few games most of the match day threads (after the game) have been full of complaints about us leaking goals, and defensive errors. Our last two games we have played now (Valencia and Sunderland) have both resulted in us going away with a clean sheet. This is something that we had to sort out. Rafael is looking better not perfect but the best RB we've had so far this season. I Vidic and Rio a full 90 minutes together after a few mistakes (which could have been costly) in the first half they started to look like the partnership we now they can be, the defence looked a lot better today. Still not sure why Evra was rested considering he is Banned for european game. But just hope he'll be back for our next game, and O'Shea is back on the bench..
Anderson had a pretty good game, still lacks match fitness but showed some good moments in the game, strength on the bull determination and some good passes. Berbatov and Hernandez had some really good moments in way of the way each other thinks and knowing each others movements, just couldn't finish. (Shame Berbatov was off side) should have out is one through the middle on target though.
Bebe looked ok, showed his pace and his desire to do something, as it happened he didn;t do THAT much but its good to see him on the pitch so soon after signing him. SAF has obviously seen something in him (now he's seen him play).
Nani showed some good moments and had a desire to play till the end, needs to learn he plays better on his feet than lying down on the floor, and should have squared the pass back in the first half to Anderson or Owen, rather than shooting from ridiculous angle. We drew 2-2 at OT with this side last year. They're a good side not the best but good, we need to get our killer instinct back a few good games in a row may make teams start to fear us again, that's all we need a run of a few good games.
Next game hope to see something like;
--- VDS ---
Rafael -- Rio -- Vidic -- Evra
Nani -- Scholes -- Bebe
-- Anderson --
Berbatov -- Rooney
Subs: Kuszczak, Fletcher, Carrick, Chicarito, Owen, Wes, Hargreaves (yeah I know)
