Swansea City vs. Manchester United

This is a game for Hernandez I feel. Has a goal from him written all over it.

Dare I say it if we keep Carrick, Cleverley and Anderson healthy our midfield looks pretty good (obviously could use another one, but now that Cleverley and Carrick have clicked and Anderson before getting injured really turned up his game, as long as we avoid starting (atleast) the "old boys" we don't look out of place at all in midfield).

Bebe would do a better job than Valencia at the moment....

Some of Carrick's vertical passes today have been nothing short of breathtaking - he has really bossed it. If he continues that way in the second half then Swansea would concede 3 more goals provided Valencia digs his head out of his arse.

I'd be happy if we just had our best one back and tied down to a contract. No matter how shit Nani plays he at least creates something.

Young hasn't been too bad though.

I can't understand why he's being phased out, especially for Valencia to be preferred to him.

People find it suitable to say that we're not winning because of midfield on any occasion these days. Today midfielf has been our best formation.

How are we lucky to be level? We've had more of the ball and more chances. People are so melodramatic sometimes.

Valencia/Jones axis is the most frustrating i have ever seen.....God, Valencia has no football sense. He slows the attack down and he's scared to even make crosses. Jones on the other hand does not overlap to help Valencia and all the attack on that side have been useless.

I miss Rafael......With him on the pitch today, a goal would have come from that area of the pitch. I remember the fantastic pass Carrick made to set Valencia free on the right channel....Valencia did not even look up to find Van Persie - he just made a spastic cross to no one!

It's not Valencia, it's Jones without the football sense. He never overlaps him or try's anything to create space. He either stands back and waits for a cut back pass or he try's to make a run centrally.

We know Valencia has got one trick and its been Rafaels variety that allows it to work. Right now Valencia is being offered no room to run behind into and being shown inside every time.

If you want the best out of Valencia you need to have a fullback that actually knows how to support a winger.

The only thing worse than Valencia's attacking in that half was the co-commentator.

Thank your lucky stars you don't have Robbie Earle on your version!

The way this game has gone, with Valencia and Rooney getting stick, I reckon the 2 will combine for a winner

And the cnutish commentators were at De Gea Bashing again. Apparently he should've done better to parry it out of the box.

Carrick made a brilliant long pass to Valencia who in acres of space and had time for a decent cross. His weak attempt made me jump out of my sofa

That was incredibly poor. That moment really made you feel like you are watching Sunday league football. For a winger to put in such a shit ball without ANY pressure and with 2 strikers in the box and acres of space ahead of you is unacceptable.

All 3 United tried to say it was Evans fault. Madness. Blaming him or DDG is idiotic. Evra fecked up royally he was a statue.

He's been awful defensively. Nearly all of their attacks has came from their right side.

Poor Hernandez - the guy's really done well this season picking up his form and his goalscoring touch, and now he's back on the bench with limited minutes on the field again, whereas, others have stretches of poor games, only to be retained in the starting lineup.

Hope Nani and Kagawa are back soon so we don't have to see Valencia playing for United until he show some form again.

I agree with this completely.

I don't think it's Jones personally, he's always willing to get forward and gets in the box or outside often. Valencia being completely reliant on his fullback is a problem on his part, he should be able to make a yard for himself one on one with a fullback.

And when he wasn't playing, anti-Nani crew opined Valencia was the second coming of Carlos Alberto!

Your problem here is that his current shite form doesn't undo all his previous fantastic play. Stupid argument is stupid.

Not really, what does Valencia in this form contribute to the team?

While not doing much in an attacking sense he does provide defensive cover and does a great job of stopping opposing full backs getting forward. People here are a bunch of spoilt brats.

Evra made one mistake and we've paid for it but Evans has looked at sea without Rio next to him. He really has to take more responsibility even if Vidic is senior partner

Who's fault is that though?

If I was Laudrup I'd be saying, show TAV onto his inside every time. He has no clue. Stay right on Rooney and slip onto RvP and you're fecked. Young needs to get into the game more but is being pegged back in defence. When Evra goes forward there is a huge space in behind.

How can a player like Rooney be so inconsistent? I would not complain if we bring him off as soon as possible and bring on Chicharito.

I don't buy that all all Pex, many of Valencias best games in the last few years have come with the likes of O Shea, Smalling and Jones at right back. This year was the longest spell he had Rafael playing with him at right back in well ... ever, and he has been largely shite.

I think its pretty clear Hernandez is going to start the next game, SAF didn't want to break up the Rooney/RVP combo whilst its still working against a tough away side.

Swansea have made us look hurried when on the ball, while we've barely been able to press them at all.

We have better players, but I think there's surely something we can take tactically from Swansea's example.

I don't think we have looked particularly hurried and both Carrick and Cleverley have been pressing them throughout.

careful. That's Hernandez disagrees.

Tits on I disagree.

The feck was that from Rooney? He does well to keep the ball under a challenge then does that!
