Film The Movies I want to see thread

@Dirty Schwein As the resident afficionado of terrible cheap horror films, what did you think of Gravy - The James 'Psych' Roday debut with Lily Cole, Liam McPoyle and Precious? It looks fun, but with high potential to be cheap and terrible. Worth a watch?

Haven't seen this but it's on my hard drive. I'm not a big fan of horror comedy to be honest. Will see it at some point then I'll let you know. I'm sure @pauldyson1uk has probably seen it.

Saw a new trailer for Triple 9 in the cinema, which confirmed my first impression that it looks amazing but also showed an irritatingly large amount of the film.

I hate modern trailers.

It's not actually a modern thing. The local cinema I go to that specialises in old films also shows trailer from whatever era the feature was made. The old ones are considerably longer and more detailed.

Fair enough, I stand corrected, I hate all trailers!

There should be a law against calling films sequels where they contain none of the original characters.

It's not 'Kindergarten Cop 2' it's a remake.

about time too, this was the last horror film to even remotely scare me.
How well this does will depend on who plays Pennywise.

It was reportedly going to be Will Poulter for Pennywise but not sure if that's still the case http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2401020/

I remember reading the book when I was laid up and injured when I was about 14. It was tremendous. The 1990 version felt really cheap but it was sh't scary for some reason as a kid!

I like Will Poulter, but as Pennywise?!?

Who do you guys think would be a good pick? I think Willem Defoe could do a good job. His face is fecking manic without the make up, as well.

I watched it as a kid, and it scared me shitless.

I think it's a great movie, but probably hasn't aged very well (haven't seen it in over 10 years).

I'd also recommend reading the book.
My missus is still scared of clowns to this day because of that movie

If he wants it and can do it, it should be Tim Curry.

Edit :- Read that he had a stroke last year, I did not know that, I would say that rules him out, sadly.
