Film The Movies I want to see thread

I think the involvement of Spielberg and Rylance assuage any fears of it being a "churned out" product, tbf. Not to mention the old cartoon was a Cosgrove-Hall production, not a Disney one.

I must have read the bfg about 10 times as a kid, but I can't really remember what happens. All I seem to remember are snozzcumbers and whizzpoppers.

Why is Creed not coming out here to January? All these great reviews are making me pissed off that I can't see it.

Same with The Revenant. Hearing about hw it is the best visual cinema experience out there is making me excited.

Spike Lee's new joint (can only say joint in this context when referring to a Spike Lee film) 'Chiraq' and 'Inherent Vice'.

I always associated these two films with each other, seemingly that was intentional. Any reason why? I know they both have creepy girls in em.
The girl (Yurei) is a common ghost found in Japanese folklore. These ghosts are in many films but these two films were the most popular I guess so they're matching them together kinda like Freddy vs. Jason.

Couldn't find a thread to put this in, but this is a very good watch.

No. Ridley Scott is the worst for it.
I met Ridley Scott in a lift at work once, didn't fecking recognize him. I was thinking "who's this smelly bum?" when I should have been slipping my script in his pocket.

You write screenplays?

You write screenplays?
Nah not professionally but have been writing (or trying to write) a feature length horror screenplay for a while now. Realistically I know the chances of getting someone to read and green light it is slim to none though :(
