I didn't think so. I thought the whole problem with Expendables 1 was that it took itself very seriously. It really lacked that "well this is just us having a bit of fun" thing (that the A Team, which came out around the same period, definitely had), it was too straight-faced for me. Plus the action scenes were pretty crap (except for the part where they attack a docking thing with a plane), especially the last one with all the shooting, it was like it was shot by an epileptic guy. Impossible to watch.
Was very disappointed because I love it when films like that don't take themselves seriously and you get the feeling it was just good fun to shoot the picture. I didn't get that feeling from Expendables 1 and found it very boring.
Don't know about n°2 though, didn't go to see it.
