When I first saw the Clouzot film I was surprised by how gripping it was. Ice Cold in Alex covers similar ground, using an ambulance and does the whole bonding through adversity thing really well. The early village stuff in Sorcerer i really like and you can almost feel the dirt and sweat rubbing off on you but by the time it gets to the trucks it doesn't move me and I just feel I have seen it all before. Had I seen Sorcerer first I can imagine feeling differently.
The thing I love most about Moon is the set design, it has a great atmosphere too. The only thing I'd say against it is that it's the kind of idea that Rod Serling would (and did) do in a third of the ruinning time. By the end I felt it had run out of story. Overall I really liked it though.
