Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United

If you have taken the lead over a team that you have led 15 out of 17 and losing all of them, will you not resign to your fate?:lol:

That is why Spurs is not top four material. They had an extra man but looked beaten. Chelsea kept pressing and pressing for their win. Arsenal kept looking for goals when 4-1 down and were not far from getting 2-3 in the last couple of minutes. Liverpool do not lie down either.

Guardian tracker:

90+3 min A little example of how far short of his best Michael Carrick is. Giggs's crisp angled pass put him through against the last defender Bassong, but Carrick looked terrified, as terrified as a man being led up a dimly lit stairs by Scarlett Johansson. He kept looking around for support when all he needed to do was shift it and hit it, and he was easily dispossessed by Bassong.

He was great today in his little cameo. He'll start against Besiktas I'm sure.
yup, think so too. Now since he's out of Ronnie's shadow, he can finally fulfill his potential.

Watching Fletch play today saddens me even more fir missing that final against Barca.:( So much drive in midfield with him around...

Well done, a very deserved win for Man. Utd.

Had Crouch's header gone in instead of hitting the woodwork, then an equaliser at that stage would have swung the momentum back to Spurs, but we were generally outplayed.

Having a jet-lagged Palacios didn't help, but it shows how much we miss Modric to knit things together..

i reckon this one will be easier than most of us are predicting. Spurs play a 4-4-2 which suits us. They are missing modric who is their creative faucet. Their cm, palacios and huddlestone are not exactly quick and are clumsy. Our cms fletcher and possibly giggs could give them quite a hard time. With their cms busy tackling ours, our forwards berbatov and rooney can cause real problems when they drop deep. I've never been a fan of assuo ekkotto when he is defending. Maybe park can run him down.

Defoe and lennon could be a problem but i'd reckon vidic and rio can handle it.

I'd say 3-1 to united.

:)

rooney and fletcher brilliant again and scholes again showing why he shouldn't be out there

Scholes was amazing you buffoon. His sending off was silly but that was hardly a yellow anyway.

i have to say fair play to fergie as well - we played fantastic today, scholes and giggs at their best and playing fletcher out wide was a great decision

Reminded me very much of 06/07 season that game

Great football from us. Anderson really drove us forward. Giggs - what more can you say. Fletcher and Scholes were immense, Evras just, Evra,Foster made an epic save and Rooeny was a beast. Berba was brilliant first half too.

Just a top notch performance.
