No you have to. That is why I m not doing these matchday threads. We have been winning the last few games you have creating threads for except one - Brum.

With Giggs playing so well today, he HAS to start. Berba can have a rest. Rooney, Nani and Giggs as our top three.

I'll consider it if you want, guys. Thought my last seven matchday threads means I only wait to hit 'submit' button, but I'm superstitious, too.

I don't think resting should be an issue for this game; there's a full seven days between games so there can't be any excuses.

Hopefully we'll have Scholes back in some shape or form as well.

And also, if it's that much of a debatable topic, I'm happy to do matchday threads as I have in the past as well.

Chelsea and Liverpool are struggling badly, while Arsenal usually bottle it against us. Spurs are bang in form and are a very strong outfit at home. They'll be very difficult to get 3 points against, its one of the few games i'd take a draw if i was offered now.

There is almost two months left for the games against Chelsea and even more for the one against Arsenal. Their form will improve and they will be formidable by the time we play them. So it won't be easy games by any means.

Never said they would be easy. Just have a feeling Spurs at home could give us even more of a test than both Arsenal and Chelsea.

If Rafael played like the way he did in the first leg against Spurs at home and keep Bale in his pocket, then we should be fine.

VDS, Rafael, Rio, Vida, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs, Rooney and Berbatov

Will be a very tough game

Gonna be a tough one, this. We usually do alright away at Spurs and a win would really give us a good chance for #19.

Yeah but it feels like it's a new Tottenham since VdV arrived.

It shouldn't be a problem for Manchester United.

Our main problem this season is that we don't want to score more when we have a good chance, a chance to kill the game. We want to play comfortably and score only when it's a counter-attack. We should do counter-attacks more than anything else, but when we lead by two or three goals. Today we had 1-0 against Liverpool, we had one player more on the pitch and we should have tried to score second. I think it's matter of time when we'll lose a late goal again. However, I'm pretty sure it won't be on Sunday. We show our experience against tough teams, we'll lose that points in annoying style against mid-table or even worse opponent.

Tottenham may be a new Tottenham this season and van der Vaart gives them something extra, but still, we are Manchester United.

Very tough game, I will be content with a draw and a win would put us in a fantastic position but I feel like I'm asking too much.

Another week to go till this game :( I somewhat envy being Arsenal's fan*, what's with them having to play 2 games a week for the next month or so.

*not really.

Why does every match thread start with a bunch of people saying they have a bad feeling about this one? Do some of you guys have bad feelings about every game ffs?

Looking at some of the fixtures coming up, you realize what a great achievment it was by Arsenal going unbeaten through the season.
