I don't think they'll get the same chance.

Richardson curls a fre kick just inches away from the top far corner!

Not pacy in the Blake sense, nor as skillful on the ball. He's no dribbler. More like Shearer really.

Sounds good, ill take your word for it, im only listening to their explanations on the radio.

Who do you think will make it as a star at United, im only hazzarding a guess

- Richardson
- Eagles
- Johnson?
- Steele
- Collet

discuss..

Terrific pressing from us, right from the front, harrying their centre backs. We're clearly looking the more dangerous team now, especially on the break using Blake's pace and Richardson's vision.

Not Collett, not sure about Johnson, obviously add Mads Timm to that, maybe Jones, harder to say with the defenders as they develop late but McShane and the fullbacks are very good for their age.

After rebooting me friggin' Sky box three times, I give up. Still, managed to see Johnson's goal - sheer class. Listening now on ManUtd.com. Richardson looks the best player on the pitch (the bits I saw inbetween rebooting that heap of junk).

One can always hope.

Could say 3 or 4 players from this team make it to the first team? Blake, Eagles, perhaps Richardson, perhaps McShane from what you've said so far. That would be fantastic, bearing in mind we've only got Brown and O'Shea over the last 3 years.

Yep, Richardson has started the best by far, very direct play, full of running and incisive passes. Blake has been lively too.

Over a period of a few years, yes, depends on their growth spurts, remember O'Shea only bulked up last summer at a late age.

Very good defending by McShane there to nick the ball away from their forward, so far he's had a very strong game.

As the game has gone on we've got more and more in control, with Richardson running the show.

Jones has a very hard hit shot touched over the crossbar, was another long range shot.

Seems Peacock's move over to the right hand side and Morrison's gone more central. But they're not really in it.

Eagles trying another long range shot, this time though he was a bit greedy and could have played a through ball to Blake.

We're going to have a strong pairing next season with mcShane and Spector. Spector has been MOM for the US U17 in some recent games.

I'm looking forward to seeing this kid, it'll certainly help to strengthen that department, particularly in the U19's.

We just had a move orchestrated by Richardson, with Johnson playing the through ball to Blake who turned, his touch took it wide and he hit an awkward shot off target.

Well ya never know, but I doubt it, doesn't seem to have the footwork, but O'SHea wasn't much rated as youngster so who knows.

Almost scored again with some frantic in the box defending from them.

And they just hit a cracking shot drawing a very stretched save from the excellent Steele.

And on the break Johnson is denied close range by their keeper after a wonderful move.

Can't remember, guess its in the youth reports somewhere though.

HT 1-0 (3-0 AG) Good game this, end to end stuff, a result of the scoreline I think, we can just counter and they've got to push forward.

Neumayr´s joining us in the summer. Read an article about him in a German paper this week.

Original story also says this summer. There's more about him on pages 9 and 10 in the youth reports. Ugly fecker though. ;)

I remember some 'learned assesors' say of young JOS that he looked a little akward and wreckless and they didn't think he would make it at OT- I wonder what they are saying now? But, to be fair its obviously hard to predict how players will deveop.

Offline paper btw? Don't suppose there's an online version of it you could translate, or just give us the jist of?

I hope they all make it. Goodness knows, we could use another golden crop. Maybe this one could form the nucleus of a team capable of beating Real Madrid. :(

I'm of the opinion that Real Madrid will only become beatable once they run out of money they raised from the sale of that training ground, and the players like Zidane and Raul are on the wane. Worrying fact is that they've got exceptional youth talent coming through, like Portillo and Cambiasso, and in the U13 level them and Barca are far far better than us. We really need to develop our international partnerships with clubs like Sporting Lisbon, and make some new partnerships with the top academies like Ajax.

Yeah, he said "Tell that ugly Spaniard to feck off, I want to play alongside these kids"

Lawrence makes an important headed clearance from a cross, boro have come out positively after the break. We're playing possession football, just knocking it around the back hoping to establish control and not let Boro back in to the tie.

Well intercepted by COllett, nice exchange on the right with Eagles who fires in a shot from a very tight angle, easily covered at the near post.

Its started to tip down.

Johnson gets through, but one of their defenders just manages to get in the way of his shot. Still looking dangerous on the break. :)
